Greetings from the road! Starting from 2024, my girlfriend Lisanne and I have embarked on the adventure of a lifetime — a global journey that we've dreamed about for years. The decision to leave behind our jobs and break free from the weight of material possessions was not an easy one, but the liberation we already feel is indescribable.

We've bid farewell to our house, sold all our belongings, and embraced the unknown with open hearts. And already, we're discovering joy in the simple pleasures of new surroundings and the incredible people we encounter. This journey is not just about places; it's about connecting with all the incredible, colorful and diverse people along the way.

We're really excited about meeting fellow Couchsurfing enthusiasts like you and learning about your lives, cultures, and anything else that sparks your passion. Equally, we're eager to share our stories, passions and experiences with you. If you’ve ever met a person with ADHD, you’d now how many things, hobbies and aspirations someone like me can be excited about simultaneously 😅 Pretty much every few months I get really excited about something new, learn everything about it, then often move on and get into something new. My past fascinations already include things like: ant-keeping, poetry writing, train ticket collecting, Lego models restoration, geo-caching, and many many more. I also still really love everything that involves being in the nature, from hiking and mountain biking to mountain top meditation 🌳That’s also why I’m always really excited to find about about anything that You are really into - I’ve picked up quite a few new interests like that in the past

Lisanne is a very versatile and multi-sided person as well - she’s an amateur baritone saxophonist, passionate foodie, book lover, planning mastermind and life enthusiast 🎷 But she can much better tell you about it all herself!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Within 2 weeks I've been both in -30 on a glacier in Austria and then in +35 on a hike in Southern California!

I am always happy to exchange our traveling experiences as well as some Dutch / Russian culture and food, discover something new from each other, cook together, share deep thoughts & aspirations and just have fun together of course! Always excited to exchange new plant-based 🌱 recipes
