About Me

I'm from Russia. 21 y.o. Active lifestyle. Had 3 hitchhiking trips around Russia in the summer and winter. My hometown is Chelyabinsk, in the center of Russia. Perhaps you've heard about the strong Russian city, in which in 2014 fell down a meteorite, so it was mine. Currently I study in France.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

It's fantastic that you can come to the life of the person you have not ever met. You can share experience with him and he can do the same. I enjoy traveling, and Couchsurfing helps to find hilarious and polite people around the world, in different countries and cities. The best way for me to discover something is spending my time with locals. It's great to find like-minded people here.

Interests

Sport.
Since childhood I enjoy football (let's play match or game in FIFA). In addition, I like to play basketball and volleyball, as well as swimming in a pool or in the sea in the summer. I love nature, going to the coast, mountains and forests. On foot or even better on the bike. If you ask me to go hiking, I agree! I was already on Taganay (Chelyabinsk region, Russia), and I want to climb the mountain again.
P. S. We can also play some billiards. Just for fun.

Chess.
If you want, we can play a game of chess. As a child, I was a little fond of chess, so always happy to practice this skill.

Books.
"1984" Orwell "Finance" Dreiser's "American Tragedy" Dreiser, "11/22/63" King "Wave" Strasser, "Ten Little Indians" Christy "The Gadfly" Voynich, "All you Zombies" Heilein, "Forrest Gump" Groom.

To hitchhike. To hike. To explore.

Music, Movies, and Books

I'm a music lover. For me it's important that song should have deep meaning and expressive sound. I'm in love with the music, so I've listened many different music styles. I respect everything from heavy and light rock to American rap, and I can listen to pop music, blues or lyrical compositions.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

1) In my first hitchhiking, I have traveled half of Russia to St. Petersburg and on the second day in this city have broken my leg. Then I laid for a month in the hospital.

2) My friend and I spent a month in Sochi last summer. One day we came to the beach at 5am. We began to swim, dropping all the valuable things just on the beach. Our aim was huge boulders in the visible vicinity of the shore. How wrong we were. We swam to them for about an hour, I thought that I would not swim anymore, but we reached our destination. Quickly realizing that coming back by stones is bad idea, because the stones are huge and each jump can be the last, we jumped back into the water. And here began the most interesting part. Something came into my head, and I just turned and swam sideways to some pontoon in the open sea. My friend swored for a long time that I would drown on the way, so he swam towards me. Well, we reached this pontoon and climbed on it. Suddenly we heard a sound like a funnel in the water, we turned around, and then three big belugas swam inside the pontoon. Well, it's something like a white whale or dolphin, about 5 meters long. Guess what I did? I jumped in to them, and a friend too. We actually swam in the open sea with these belugas for about an hour. We were not worried about anything, because such an opportunity falls only once in a lifetime, and we understood this. We played with them, stroked, rolled on them, etc. And this is actually one of the most memorable days of life. And the clothes, as we turned out, were guarded by the guys on the beach all the time and worried that we had disappeared, they wanted to call the police already. Well, in general, this is a rather revealing case, how I like to live - then to remember this for many years.

Teach, Learn, Share

I improve my English. This is a good school of life - go beyond the comfort zone and communicate not in your own language. That's why I studied in Croatia and France as an exchange student. An excellent experience to listen to people from all over the world, their accents and life positions.

In addition, I began to learn Spanish. Therefore, if you know Spanish, then I will gladly practice it with you.
If you are interested in learning Russian, then I am ready to teach you, feel free to ask about it.
