Overview
About Me
I'm an adventurous, adrenaline junkie, primal lifestyle following, sarcastic, dark humored nerd, enjoy rock climbing, and SCUBA diving, as well as the occasional board game. I have a degree in Electrical Engineering, but tend to fall into that jack of all trades master of none category.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I've traveled a fair amount and have always enjoyed getting to know the locals and doing less touristy things. I joined couchsurfing a few years ago thinking it sounded like a great idea. For various reasons I never ended up using it. I'm about to head off on an adventure in New Zealand, and I thought this might be a great way to explore new places and meet some locals.
Interests
I tend to prefer being active, and I love the outdoors and being on the water, camping, hiking, being on a boat, rock climbing. When I'm in a more docile mood I prefer something that challenges my mind like reading a good book, playing a board game, or getting into a theoretical debate about something deep.

Music, Movies, and Books
When it comes to books my favorite would be Science Fiction, but I also enjoy, history, and science books.
Music I'm a bit more all over the map, I enjoy listening to everything from Classical, Jazz, to bluegrass and rock.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
When I was 13 (or maybe 14) on a trip to Costa Rica I was in a group of 20-30 people attempting to hike Mount Arenal (an active volcano). Due to the amount of loose lava rock near the top it was a very difficult climb, I was one of only 5-6 people that actually reached the top (no one else in my family did).
What I Can Share with Hosts
I've been told I bring a unique perspective to conversations, and am more than willing to help out with chores.
