Overview
About Me
I am a PhD student at the university of Alberta (I live in the beautiful city of Edmonton, Alberta). This summer I'm in Spain for some research project at unizar. I really like my supervisor, Miguel here. We have coffee at 11:30. Spanish coffee is nice here. I enjoy the sunshine which I missed at Canada! People are friendly and ez going in Spain with big heart. I like them so much. Zaragoza has the sunny evening outside. I like it. I am trying to learn the Spanish language. Good rhythm. Fabulous. I already made great friends at Unizar. I am looking forward to visit other parts of the Europe .
I came from Iran. I love my home town beside the coastal line of the Caspian see. The people of my hometown are so hospitable. They are the people of never-leaving smile with whatsoever comes across scenario! They really are the people of the moment. With lots of sunshine in the morning.
I have travelled to Canada and found lovely people there. The ones who truly respect human aspects of life in a kind manner. I love them. They are the people of warm cafes with -40 outside temp. U know what I mean. And they are amazing in making sure you get what you need.
Now in Europe, I'm continuing to learn and have fun. As a gypsy or someone alike.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I want to find myself. I remember in the Whiplash movie J.K. Simons had a good quote "I'm here to push the people beyond what's been expected of them". I think at last, what we expect of ourselves sits above all. I want to appreciate this world and its people by knowing it. In a close contact I mean. To feel their joy and being part of it.
This way I will be a host for sure in a near future after I'm back to Canada. To repay this favor. To show how easily we can make some everlasting friendship WITH SIMPLE CONCEPTS. No special expectation or such things. Just by resoecting, living in the moment an the power of appreciation.

Music, Movies, and Books
Oh I really like all kind of music. This turned out to be a problem to me!!! My spotify is filled with different playlists! I really wanna add every song into its category. I personally play a traditional instrument called "Tar". It has the concept of Persian verse's soul and rhythm. We make some good relationship with our instruments and I missed it here.
Fan of novels since my childhood (I try to read at least one page every night). The bests for me were "one hundred years of solitude" and "on tombs and heroes".
Not a fan of movies really. Specially the recent Hollywood ones. Christopher Nolan is an exception these days (obviously I'm a fan of good sci-fi ones). But I prefer to have some tea at a cozy cafe with my friends instead of watching movies.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Born to this life :)
Teach, Learn, Share
I come from an eastern culture. In the middle east. U would astonish if I tell u about every nuance of Persian culture, how it transforms into the shape of the condition in hand! I'm from Iran and I believe it can offer all its diversity in a friendly manner if you this country. I hope some day when I return to my country, I can host some of you guys there and hang around.
More than what I can offer, I'm pretty sure I can learn. Learning to enjoy the life with taking part in the life of others! I truly believe it. When people of different cultures and religion reach to the same comfort zone. We learn to share. And by sharing we achieve the greatest happiness :)
What I Can Share with Hosts
I think the host is a cool person seeking the same experience as mine. We can talk, walk, go out to make fun, socialize. If the host wants to enjoy spending time with "out of the blue" friend, I'm in.
I can cook for the host (I'll try my best :) or make the room clean (come on, it's not a big deal I like to be a part of it!)
I will give the host a good gift for sure :) u bet on it! Why not. The host is the coolest and the best.
We can walk at the evening, go somewhere to chill out, drink some tea (oh I love it especially with sunshine) laugh to our past and free of the future.
I can offer the host a true friendship. A souvenir of the absolute Iranian-Canadian guy.
