Overview
About Me
I'm an imaginative rad lefty with a warm, outgoing personality. I appreciate thoughtful communication, and am drawn to creative people. I will miss most of your pop culture references, and am more into conversations about the things we're learning about or plotting.
CURRENT MISSION
to transform oppressive systems into just, healing structures of collective care... and to enjoy life on the journey. I also dream to one day live with like-minded chosen family in a smaller town or rural place.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I host when I can and surf at every transient opportunity. I've connected with people through couchsurfing to meet-up, potluck, and to learn about new places. This is my first time back on the site in a while, and my first time travelling in pandemic. I like to be as covid-safe as possible, so am most keen to meet people outside for drinks, a meal, or a swim!
Interests
Exploring, arts & crafts, gardening, bicycling, urban/rural treasure hunting, dancing, inciting social change, undoing oppression, reading, writing, scrabble, smelling flowers, sharing engaging conversations, and gathering for potlucks.

Music, Movies, and Books
Movies (a few faves): City of God, Amelie, We're The Best!, Harold and Maude, 8 1/2, Wings Of Desire, The Edukators, Ever After
Music: A bit of everything - I like any music that makes me want to dance!
Books: right now anything by Leanne Betasamosake Simpson!
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
One spring, I witnessed the ice break up in Dawson City, Yukon. It was phenomenal; the break happened so rapidly with lots of creaking, groaning, and cracking. One minute the river was a solid road of ice, and an hour later it was almost entirely gone! This was particularly thrilling because the residents had been anticipating this moment all winter long and everyone gathered at the riverbank to celebrate.
Teach, Learn, Share
I can bring knowledge of recipe-free cooking. I craft - embroidery, stencil-making, darning, sewing, and stained glass,. I'm a skilled meeting and workshop facilitator.
I am most keen to learning more about cooking, crafting, and community organizing.
