About Me
I love being active, being outside, learning languages, meeting people from all over the world, running, swimming, hiking, climbing, playing, laughing, loving. I would say I am pretty relaxed, down to earth, open, silly, and positive. My life has been full of some pretty wonderful adventures thus far and I can't wait for what's next..
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I believe in the original, true essence of Couchsurfing--giving back to fellow travelers and getting to know locals.. who eventually, usually, become friends. When I host, I want to be able to hang out and share stories with my guest. I hope for the same when I am surfing. I'm on CS because of all the amazing people I have met and all of the amazing people I still need to meet...
CS Experience:
Surfed:
1. Three night in Athens, Greece. Slept on a balcony overlooking the city streets and woke up to church bells. Needless to say, the experience was amazing and my host was one of the funniest people I have ever met!
2. Two nights in Dublin, Ireland. Went to a Spanish party and had the best time after dancing to reggae in Irish pubs with some of the nicest people in the world.
3. Two nights in San Diego, California! Enjoyed the tours around Ocean Beach and downtown and had a lengthy djembe jam fest with our host. I love OB!
4. Four nights in Sydney, Australia. Our host was crazy enough to let four silly American girls take over his apartment for the weekend.
5. One night in Wanaka, New Zealand. Easiest host ever, made us dinner, got to use his spa. Yea, heaven.
6. Two nights in Rockhampton, Australia. Got to experience real Queensland living complete with ATV and motocross adventures in the bush. success.
7. One night in Dillon, Colorado. Hot tubbing with our host after a long day of skiing and ended the night with a hip hop yoga party!!
8. One night in Salvador, Brazil! Had a great day of site seeing, made a big mexican dinner, and spent the night listening to the greatest Brazilian music.
9. Three nights in Viña del Mar, Chile. My host was a musician who took me to see his show and to local music events! Our days were filled with great conversations.
10. Four nights in Valparaíso, Chile. Instant connection with my host, another Couchsurfing success even though we were almost arrested ;)
11. Three nights in Natal, Brazil. My host and I took selfies with goats and went paddle boarding at sunset. Contagious laughter is all I have to say.
12. Two nights in Ollaytaytambo, Peru. Great days exploring old Inca ruins, tradition Andean villages, and listening to our old hippie rock star couch surfing host jam on his guitar.
Hosted:
1. Quasi hosted my best friend's couchsurfer, John. He was amazing, I loved showing him around, and we ended up having 11 lovely days of adventures around Boulder land.
2. Jonny and Benni from Germany during my finals week at University. They made my last days of college perfect. The goodbye was almost too hard to take and all I can say is it was great!
3. Jamie from Australiaaaa! Spent a full week hanging out, talking, talking, talking, laughing, reminiscing over Australia, hiking, and showing him Boulder's best.
4. Christy from Canada! Felt like we had known each other forever. Four happy days with great conversation and lots of adventures. Bunk mates for life!
5. Tim from Australia :) Awesome time enjoying Colorado in the winter. Hiked up to the infamous Boulder star and enjoyed hot cocoa together on the mountain.
Met:
1. New friend through CS, Nick, who was interning in Boulder for the summer. Went on some marvelous hikes, geocached our way around town, chatted about life, and spent a night sleeping on my roof.
2. Had coffee with Dave who was in Colorado for a job interview. Shared life stories and experiences and passions all in 45 minutes.
3. Met Laura, Marcos, Daniel, and Ramon all through the awesome CS community in Natal, Brazil. Awesome jaunts around the city and a moto ride to the beach <3
4. Gianvito and Lee in Miami! Classic Couchsurfing meeting where total strangers become friends in one night.
