About Me
CURRENT MISSION
root down in ma' homeland
ABOUT ME
After an eventful year in Switzerland, Italy, Croatia, Ireland and the Czech Republic working, traveling, and studying natural building (straw-bale, cob, adobe...) I am back home in glorious Vancouver! I'm spending the next few months rooting down in my new apartment and exploring all the nooks and crannies of British Columbia that I've missed dearly, along with trips to Seattle and Portland.
PHILOSOPHY
Never turn down an invitation or an opportunity.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
When I'm not traveling I try to open my home to others who are. During my travels in Croatia I was fortunate to surf with wonderful hosts for an entire month, and I met some grand people; anche in Svizzera! When I surf, I send out requests to people whom I think it would be really interesting to surf with; I'm not just looking for a free place to crash. I'm looking forward to surfing more, but it's always incredible to explore my own city of Vancouver through the eyes of my guests while they share a little piece of the big, beautiful world with me.
Interests
Community building/sharing/living, yoga, natural building/architecture, sustainable agriculture, travel & cultural exchange, languages, live music/theatre, movies, photography; any morning with a good book/conversation + breakie + Pat Coil. i LOVE food! I've discovered some great little places in Vancouver since moving here in November '07 (mostly dessert places YUM!). Also love cooking healthy at home, and have been known to serve up some mighty tasty dishes. Hiking, trailrunning, snowshoeing... mostly sports that involve just me and a pair of shoes, although I'm keen to do more rockclimbing and sea-kayaking. I'm happy to stroll through an unexplored part of the city or jump onto a bike/bus/train/sailboat/ferry or into a car and just go somewhere.

From me to you:
We could try to go for a sail, or have an excellent yoga session at the best studio in Vancouver, head out for a swell bike ride and then cook up something excellent at home or hit one of the many awesome restaurants nearby. In the evening we can check out various musical stylings of talented local musicians. Or we could head up into the mountains.. so many options!
From you to me:
Gimme what you got! I'm always happy to learn something new, and everyone has something worth sharing. Violin/fiddle tunes, anyone?
