ABOUT ME

I mostly like being outside; biking, hiking, canoeing, running, skiing and playing sports. I enjoy playing banjo with friends. I am recently an instrument maker (banjos and cigar box ukuleles) and have a big-picture-perspective.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I've hosted a fair bit, but now am surfing. I like how quickly one goes from being a complete stranger opening their door to a friend or a quasi-roommate.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I've couch surfed a fair bit in Canada: Cape Breton, Newfoundland, and the Yukon. Other than that, I've also used it a bit in Scottland, Australia, New Zealand, the United States, Colombia, Ecuador and Peru. I've had a few people over in Montreal and in Nova Scotia and am looking forward to both hosting and surfing a bunch more.

I love any sort of camping especially bicycle touring and canoe camping. I think that the bicycle is the most beautiful invention of our time. I also enjoy photography and banjo playing. I like both physical geography as well as human geography and especially demography and cartography. I occasionally juggle torches and I love bubble tea.
