About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Connect with as many wonderful people as possible through traveling

ABOUT ME

I acquired the "travelbug" in my teens when I took my first trip to Europe. Being on a tight budget was somewhat of an inconvenience at the time but in hindsight it was a true blessing. I learned from an early age the difference between a traveler and a tourist. Consequently my personal travel style has always been alternative, never fancy hotels. I like to meet local people use local transportation and try to just blend in. It has been a blast!

PHILOSOPHY

You reap what you sow...treat others the way you would like to be treated.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I only heard about this wonderful community recently...I can't wait to become part of it. I definitely want to surf and would love to host when possible.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

On a number of occasions during my life I have hosted a displaced traveler or been helped by a host individual. This was all long before any Couchsurfing Organization existed and it seemed the natural thing to do.

Interests

Travel (obviously), photography, gardening, reading, the arts, the outdoors, anything retro or vintage. I LOVE to cook and am a definite "foodie".
