About Me

Instagram: @veblive

"If a little dreaming is dangerous, the cure for it is not to dream less, but to dream more, to dream all the time." -Proust

I dream about so many things. About living in the mountains. About driving around the world. I even dream of going into space.

In real life, I am traveling the world and trying to become a better person. By reading, meeting new people, putting myself in uncomfortable situations and doing things I've never done before.

I left full-time work in 2015 and since then I've been freelancing as a consultant. This has given me more flexibility, so I'm trying to make the most of it by traveling more and making time for things I didn't have before.

I am easygoing, super-flexible, obsessed with cleanliness, love to walk, hike in the mountains and enjoy interesting conversations.

I am also trying to consume less, have fewer possessions, become more active, become better at conversation, make more lasting friendships and be more at peace with myself.

I don't practice any of the organized religions but I identify closest with Buddhist way of thinking.

On the road, I like the freedom of traveling ultra-light and the flexibility of having more time than I need. Trying to be more mindful and being in the company of kind, friendly and genuine people while traveling makes me happier.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Everyone I've met on Couchsurfing so far has been absolutely amazing. Whenever I am on the road, I cannot think of a better way to meet even more amazing people while getting a local's perspective on the places I traverse.

I use other accomodation options every now and then, but that is always something to fall back on rather than a first choice. And yes, I also love hosting fellow travelers at my small flat in the heart of Lisboa (Campo de Orique).
