ABOUT ME

Hi everyone,My name is Vaidotas and I'm coming from Catanzaro, a city in the south of Italy - city that sometimes even Italians don't know where exactly it is located - so, if you don't know as well don't worry :PAnyway, Catanzaro is the capital of the region of Calabria, the last region before Sicily - the toe of the "Italian boot".Calabria was really well known long times ago. During the 8th century b.c. it's name was "Magna Graecia" (the Great Greece). The region was artistically, socially and economically strongly developed, in this period even more than the Greeks were.I love it's rugged nature. The amazing sea. The waves, the cliffs. The serpentines of the coastline. The ancient villages and towns built ages ago on the top of the mountain peaks, and the amazing high plains of "la Sila".Calabria is a region to discover, but I needed to travel and, unfortunatelly, life in Calabria is not easy, that's why Now I'm in Prague: in an amazing country and in an inspiring city. I adore it.I'm working in a travel agency and at the same time I'm studying for my bachelor degree... I love music, simply adore everything that has a rithm. I'm a bass player, right now without bass, but still... I'm learning some guitar, with the aim to be able to play a couple of song with my friends (far from being willing to become a guitarist - I prefer much more the rithmic session [bass and drums]), I'm also studying the indian flute (bansuri) and just bought the Irish (tin whistle).

I'm playing bass guitar since I was seventeen and had a short study experience with double bass. I love music, and I know that a good musician should be first a great listener, that's why I listen to a lot of genres and try to get inspiration from every of them.

Eine tolle Erfahrung, die ich gemacht habe

I cannot say that what is amazing for me would be as well for anyone else. I like listening to people and learning from them, I feel good when I get to know good people, people that can teach me something important for me. I consider every moment like this as a memorable moment. I see amazing things in everydays life - in it's routine, in it's 'boredom'. Every moment to me is precious - or at least can become something precious.

Bytheway I filled this field only because else I could not send couchsurfing requests.
I think this field should stay optional as it was not long time ago. And I'm against this new courchsurfing's marketing and commercial approach and have the feeling that they are partly destroying what couchsurfing was about some years ago. Quality is way better than quantity - that's not what they think obviously.
