Hello all! My name is Vaila and I'm from Scotland, I'm very keen on exploring the outdoors and challenging myself. Currently studying marine science on the west coast of Scotland, living in a self built van. I ski, snowboard, free dive, hike, climb, surf, skate amongst other things. I love to meet new people and share experiences, I'm always up for anything outdoorsy, or going out, going for a dance or staying in.. I'm very open minded, helpful and easy going.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I love to meet new people and make friends and its always good to have someone I'm acquainted with in a new place. i think it's a fantastic way to meet people and get off the hard worn tourist trail.

I love most music from the 60's, 70's and 80's, lots of funk and soul, pretty much anything! I will settle down to almost any film happily, I like to read thrillers and nature books.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Have done 2 winter seasons in the french Alps - skiing and boarding everyday.
converted a van into a home in 10 days.

What I Can Share with Hosts

been a Chef for about 4 years so can knock up pretty good food- particular fan of breakfast. super easy going, love to go out dancing/partying but definitely not opposed to cosy nights in. i'm pretty handy and like to build and make things. would love going out to do outdoor pursuits, if you would like to try anything i know i'd be more than happy to teach as well as i can.
