About Me

I'm very happy and easily amused person. I love good jokes, red wine and music. I love meeting new people and visiting places. I try to travel as much as I can and I'm constantly planning my next adventures. Originally I am from Lithuania, but moved to Scotland a few years ago. I fell in love with Edinburgh and I really enjoy living here. The city has so many stories and interesting places to visit. Also, it looks fantastic in spring when covered in pink blossoms ;)

PHILOSOPHY

"Stop doing sh*t you hate. There is no reason for that". This phrase always makes me stop, re-think and change something in my life when I feel too tired ;)

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Traveling is not only about places you see, but people you meet.

Interests

I'm quite a nerdy person and I enjoy learning - new languages, cultures, random things that nobody else cares about. I love discovering :)

Music, Movies, and Books

At the moment I'm really into travel books, just finished reading Off the Rails by Tim Cope and Chris Hathley - they really inspired me to plan my next adventure. I read a lot of fiction as well, couple of my favourite books I've read recently were And the Mountains Echoed by Khaled Hosseini and Alone in Berlin by hans Fallada.
I really enjoy watching good dramas and if they are based on the real story it's even better. Some of them are The Lives of Others, The Prestige, The Imitation Game etc.
I'm not too picky with the music, but some good old rock music or jazz is always a good choice :)

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I'm scared of heights, so I constantly challenge myself and hope that this random fear will go away one day. I've done sky-diving, bungee jumping (10th highest in the world) and Hua Shan plan walk. Any other suggestions? :)
