About Me

Hi there! My name is Val and I love social and environmental activism. I am a very friendly and positive person who loves meeting new people from different cultures.

I also really love animals and nature, which is why I have been vegetarian for quite a while and right now I'm vegan. So if you're are too, great! If not, that's okay too :)

Sometimes when I think about my life so far, I realize that the most meaningful memories come from the places I have visited and the people I've met during travels, which is why traveling is something that I'd love to do all my life and welcoming guests seems like a lot of fun as well. If you come to Guadalajara and I have a bit of free time, I would love to show you around the city! I really enjoy taking long walks, taking pictures, riding bikes, and exploring new places and routes using public transportation.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I believe traveling is a really amazing thing and everybody should get a chance to do it even if they don't have much money, which is why I love the idea of hosting people at my home and getting hosted in other countries. I think your travel experience is a thousand times better when you get to live it like a local and make new friends!

Interests

I love to read, specially historical novels and coming-of-age stories. I also like books about philosophy, buddhism, ecology, and all sorts of adventures. I also really enjoy being outdoors, camping, and mountain-climbing.
