About Me

Hi! My name is Miron. I am a student, artist and researcher from Belarus, living and studying in Berlin now. Together with my girlfriend and fellow artist Sonya we travel, eager to explore new cultures, places and people.
Next up, we are planning a trip to Portugal - Oct 23rd to Oct 28th. Will be very grateful for recommendations and if you could host us!

I grew up and lived for 17 years of my life in Minsk, the capital of Belarus, traveling a lot around the country and in Europe. Through twists and turns of fate, I ended up living for 2 years in Armenia (2021-2023), in a small mountainous town of Dilijan, on one hand, but in a highly diverse international community, on the other. This has taught me the value and the joy of exploring the context of the place you are staying in, connecting to its culture as much as possible, while also valuing each person around you as a whole world to be cherished. I am now living and studying in Berlin.

Hoping to one day be able to host you in Berlin at out place, and, eventually, at our place in Belarus!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

In my life, the things that profoundly changed me in the most unexpected ways were encounters with unbelievable people. That especially holds true to my traveling experiences. And that is what I think is great about couchsurfing beyond finding couches to crush at - exchanging lifes, mine to yours. I am fascinated by this world community built on solidarity - something I very much value personally.
Hope to cross paths with you in our travels!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Climbing Mount Aragats in Armenia, summer of 2022.
Organizing a fundraising concert in Dilijan, Armenia, for Ukrainians displaced by the war, 2022.
But the best is, of course, to come!
