About Me

ABOUT ME

I'm an honest, positive, and outgoing person. Sometimes to my own detriment. I am an avid supporter of my local community and I love to meet people and learn more about them. I believe that we learn the most about ourselves through others and it is an important part of growth.

Also, I love puns and sarcasm and I often joke that I am the funniest person I know - though I am the only one who really thinks so...

Interests

I write things for a living. Whether it's social media, blog posts, marketing copy, or whatever a client believes needs more language hieroglyphics, I am there. With that in mind, it goes without saying that I read a bit too.

I am an avid supporter of the arts and can often be found out at pubs or local music venues, dancing front and centre and cheering my heart out. I also co-host a weekly podcast along with my partner Vincent and our friend Mike that features unsigned alternative/indie bands from around the world. It's called Alt Rock Radio Now and it's actually pretty damn good, so you should listen. Together, we have interviewed some great bands and artists (typically with me manning the camera equipment while Vince does the talking :) haha) including The Joy Formidable, Dan Mangan, The Trews, Hoodie Allen, Morgan Page, and a bunch more.

But despite all of that, my biggest hobby is photography. I consider myself to be an avid hobby photographer and spend a fair amount of time with my faced pressed against my camera. In particular I love portraiture and candid photography as well as urban landscapes.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

The best day of my life was the first time I saw the ocean. It was a chilly December day in Vancouver but everything about it was wonderful. Also, I cried. But then, I cry about everything so it's not really a surprise if you know me...

Walking across the Brooklyn Bridge at night was memorable as well. Everything was so quiet, with just the cars driving by below and the iconic city lights twinkling in the distance.

Ask me about churches in England too...
