Overview
About Me
Computing guy who finally realised it didn't suit him anymore. I traveled 6 months in Europe and thought one more year, looking for inspiration. And now I am a primary school teacher!
I try to keep my curiosity about the world intact and not lose the remaining childish part of my soul. I don't want to build a little bubble of comfort and remain there but instead believe we elevate ouselves through challenges, new experiences and mistakes.
My philosophy is to aim for the top but be contented of whatever I get as long as I gave my best.
I like to discover new things: countries, cities, cultures, people, meals, sports, experiences... I think that almost everything is worth to try.
PHILOSOPHY
A healthy mind in a healthy body : I feel like most people cultivate one or the other but few do both and it's unfortunate because I think to be a complete person you need both a healthy mind and body.
It's better to have regret for something you've done then remorses for something you didn't do.
All I know is that I know nothing - Socrate
Today is the first day of the rest of your life :)
Dream on, dream on, dream on, dream until your dreams come true! - Aerosmith
Advertising has us chasing cars and clothes, working jobs we hate so we can buy shit we don't need. - Fight Club
Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Music, Movies, and Books
I like to see movies from which I feel I gain something.
Some of my favorites : 2046, Underground, All Quiet on the Western Front, American beauty, The pianist, Pulp Fiction, Waltz with Bashir, Into the wild, Shawshank Redemption, Fight Club, One Flew over the Cuckoos Nest, Soy Cuba...
Music : rock, reggae, dub, ska, jazz, electro-swing... And I specially like the mix of styles. I also like "classical" music and opera.
A few novel authors I really like : Tagore, Victor Hugo, Hermann Hesse, St Exupery,
A book that changed my life : The Art of Happiness (Dalai Lama)
Who dies - Pablo Neruda : This poem holds so many truths!
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
- Saw our beautiful world from a plane with the wonderful cloud sea and the setting sun shinning through it, magical view!
- Run a Marathon, 42km! :)
- Experienced intense fear while rock climbing a 250m high cliff
- 6 months of solo travel in Europe, best experience of my life!
BUT the thing I'm the most proud of is the fact that these last years I was able to change a lot as a person and I'm still doing my best every day to improve. So don't trust people who say we are born as we are and can't change.
Teach, Learn, Share
I can teach juggling, ice skating, slackline, basics of photography...
And i can teach French of course ;)
I'm curious about everything and anything you can teach is interesting for me.
