When I lived in SF my house hosted a lot of wonderful people. I was kindly taken care of in Italy and in Texas so I have some couch karma to pass along! We formed a strong group in Albany NY, and in Ohio I met just a few strays

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Italy twice! So many nice folks, actually quite a few were not even from this site, just people I met. Hosting is a blast, I've made some great friends, I hope I can visit them someday

I like to work in the arts, but I really wish I didn't have to work day jobs and could just make or show art. I like to learn about physics and natural systems. Motorbikes ( i know where all the curvy roads are, and have done several long trips). I like punk and post punk and garage and some other random music. oh! I really like this George Orwell book about the Spanish Civil War. I like Vonnegut, I like stuff about physics, and socialism in art. I like Murakami and I used to read lots of Beat stuff

I watch too much netflix, independant stuff/art films; Weird horror, crime shows, usually not the cop ones

I have taught studio art in various capacities for 20 years, and can help you with technique, but don't let anyone tell you your own instincts. I have some tips on traveling the US and camping ( I recommend the Green Tortoise, and New Orleans, and Utah)

Oh I'm an ok cook (now vegetarian and vegan stuff). I will probably be going to see some contemporary art in your town if you would like to come. I can maybe help you fix something. I have a good friends network, and can return the favor if you ever visit near me.
