Hey, my name is Valentin, I'm living in Kassel, in northern Hesse. I'm studying landscape architecture at the University of Kassel. Before I moved here I lived in cologne, but I grew up in a little village close to Frankfurt. I lived in Istanbul to study at Istanbul Technical University and really enjoyed the clash of cultures there and travelling turkey! I like to go around with my car and find people i the cities i am visiting! :)

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Couchsurfing gives people the opportunity to visit a city with the best guide they could get- a local. Hospitality is very important to me, no matter if I'm the guest or the host. Beside that, it makes traveling with a small amount of money possible, what's a great chance for students with small income.

Interests

I like being out in nature, go biking, hanging out with my friends in bars, and enjoy life.
I also like going places in my car and riding motorcycle!
Travelling of course, is very important for me, i never want to be done filling my mind with new impressions of the unexpected and unknown.

Music, Movies, and Books

I mostly listen to Ska, rock music and Irish folk punk.
Depending on my mood I like to listen to old school hip hop and reggae as well, but I am open for any kind of taste!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Go snorkeling with Galapagos sharks, huge stingrays and hammerheads at kicker rock, Galapagos/Ecuador.
