Hi, I'm Valentin Burwell. All my life, me and my family having been moving from house to house every three or four years, mainly within England and Switzerland. Now I'm beginning my gap year before university and want to do some traveling of my own. Though I live in Switzerland, I was born in Cambridge in the UK and am half British, half German. For about half a year, I will be traveling around Australia and New Zealand, hopefully meeting many new people and having great fun along the way.
I've been in Australia for a bit now, awesome place! The West Coast is gorgeous. Will be heading over East soon.

Some of my main interests are filmmaking, photography and singing.
I would describe myself as kind, responsable, open, easy-going and good-natured. I enjoy the company people and animals.

Music, Movies, and Books

Inception by Christopher Nolan is probably my favorite film, but it's a tough choice. I listen to all sorts of music including hip-hop, folk, rock, classic and film music.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

In 2018, I directed my first short film on a bigger scale. Me and about 30 other young creatives made the film "Silent Planet" (in Swiss-German: Stiller Planet). Though I had made a bunch of films before, it was an incredible experience to work with so many people on this kind project. I am seldom truly satisfied with the artistic stuff I create, but I learnt so much and faced so many challenges that I am proud to have overcome.
