I'm just trying to live simply and find my place in this world. I am a calm, easy-going and down-to-earth person travelling here and there, willing to meet people on my way, learning a few things and trying out new food.

I have travelled extensively, been over 100 countries, got tired of all the touristic stuff so I'm now more than ever looking for new challenges and authentic experience.

I think that Couchsurfing is a fantastic app for that and a wonderful community, I deeply enjoy staying with locals or expats, sharing you guys lifestyle, getting new insights and learning from each other.

I believe in the Ubuntu philosophy. Ubuntu means "humanity towards others" / "I am because you are" with the idea of togetherness.

I work as an online private language tutor under my own business which enables me to work and travel at the same time. I live a nomadic lifestyle for about 5 years now and I do see myself as a nomad / minimalist. I travel with a bag that weights about 10 kilos and it contains everything that I need.

I'm not sure to have a passion per se, but I'm a very outdoorsy person and I am a big fan of hiking (and walking in general). My legs are my best locomotion. Seriously I can walk for kilometres.

Otherwise, stuff I'm into : walking long distance, cycling, hitchhiking, hiking, ascending mountains, red wine in front of a fireplace, red wine in my bath, reading under the sunshine, stargazing, road trips, sleeping, taking a flight and landing somewhere new, capturing moments and people with my camera, coolcation, coffee with cold morning weather, trying out new food, learning about absolutely everything and of course, Couchsurfing!

Couchsurfing has been such an incredible experience and community so far and I wish to keep meeting and staying with lovely locals. I also deeply enjoy hosting fellow travellers when I get the chance to.

French has this verb 'dépayser' that could be translated as to see something different than your country of origin, as well as the word 'paysage' for landscape that sounds like a mix between pays (country) and visage (face)...

The book I'm ready at the moment is 'Dans les forêts de Sibérie'. I am also extremely interested in African history. I also read poetry and philosophy. One thing I'm passionate about is learning languages and dialects. To some extent I am proficient in 5 languages (French, English, Spanish, Malay and Russian). I can read Cyrillic, Hangul (Korean) and Jawi (based on the Arabic script).

Portuguese has the same word for 'country' and 'parents' (país, pais), French has the same word for 'world' and 'people' (monde), Russian has the same word for 'world' and 'peace' (мир).

I think that we all influence each other in a way.
It happens that talking to someone new makes us think differently, even enlarging our own vision.

I also think that we can genuinely help each other and sometimes on a larger scale radically change someone's life by simply being who we truly are. This goes with the Ubuntu philosophy.

As a host in Georgia
Georgian wine 🍷 cheese 🧀 good company and discussions in the best restaurants in Batumi. Let me know when/where you arrive and I will either pick you up or arrange a Bolt/Yandex taxi to fetch you. Laundry, hot shower after rainy days which is everyday in Batumi. The wine is always on me! It's part of both Georgian and French culture. We can also go gambling 💸 in casinos.

As a guest across the world
I would be happy to cook a French dish that we call croque-monsieur or croque-madame. I can make 101 versions of sandwiches or omelettes.
Otherwise, being a cosmopolitan person, I like to be involved in my host's daily life so I'm definitely keen on helping. In my previous stays I have been teaching English to my host's students, joining a podcast, leading an online talking session with locals, planting mangrove seeds, composing songs using my poetry lines as lyrics, cooking local dishes, gardening, attending a tea ceremony meditation, volunteering in the observation and tracking of turtles activity (nesting, hatching).

As a seasoned traveller 🌏 I could share my stories, advice and CS experience. Guidance about how to start an online business and to be self-sufficient. Genuinely RAISE SOCIAL AWARENESS.
