About Me

Alright, so.. I talk a lot, and laugh a lot.
I am a social scientist who has been around for a while (and I am not going to stop soon).
I actually wrote my diss on Couchsurfing and Airbnb!
My heart is in Edinburgh, Scotland, where I have spent four amazing years, but home is in Italy, where I am heading in a few weeks to dive into a new professional and personal adventure.
My yoga mat and my bike are my best companions. I'm doing my best to respect and nurture what I share with other human beings: space, relationships, values. You won't find animal product in my fridge (I'm doing ok without them), just a lot of fresh mother nature's gifts that taste as good as they look.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Couchsurfing because is a great thing, as well as the subject of my dissertation. Not making the most of it would be an outrage. My friend Noah introduced me to its wonderful community three years ago, but unfortunately when I logged in via FB by mistake my old profile was blocked. And I lost all my contacts and references.
So I'm back to make up for it!

Music, Movies, and Books

Isabel Allende, Dante, David Bowie, Pikitty, Nietzsche, Shakespeare, Electro-swing, Timber Timbre, Allevi, Into the Wild, House of Cards.
That's around my desk right now.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I have ridden an elephant under the storm in the waters of the Mekong River, Luang Prabang, Laos.
Amazing, if you don't mind getting wet and muddy and you don't fear pretty voluminous animals.

Teach, Learn, Share

I am trying to learn Mandarin, with difficulties, but I'm getting there.
I can teach Italian, share some Yoga tips and tell you about my excellent procrastination techniques. I also know how to make green smoothies that do not taste like grass!

What I Can Share with Hosts

I can share the cosy sofa of my small apartment in the centre of this gorgeous city, my time and my knowledge about does and sees in Edinburgh.

Countries I’ve Visited

Austria, Cambodia, Egypt, England, France, Germany, Italy, Laos, Qatar, Slovenia, Spain, Switzerland, Thailand, Viet Nam

Countries I’ve Lived In
