Hallo, I'm Huyen and come from Vietnam - a beautiful and warming country from Southeast Asia. Currently, I'm living in Euratsfeld, Amstetten, Austria from October 2015 and working as an Au-Pair to exchange culture (West - East, Vietnam - Austria), and more important is to learn German.
This is also my first time being abroad (and I want more :), though the truth that I wished to travel from I was very young. Therefore, everything here is new and excited with me. And of course, can't lack of few culture shocks, but now, I'm totally in good mood and pride that I know more about Austrian culture.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

For the reason above, I'm here to looking for friends in Austria, who can host me in a very short period (when I have day off), who willing to make friend, to show me beautiful Austria, who want to know about Asian culture (especially about Vietnam) or plan to visit Vietnam in future, than we can help each other.

Interests

I'm interests in nature, travelling, people and sides of culture (history, food, building, customs and tradition,...) and want to know ad much as possible and dont afraid what's called "culture shock". My main purpose of doing these is winning myself, my weaknesses...to become a better person, regard of conciousness, soul, behaviour (vnot mention to material life - it's not my priority goal of life)

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Jumping into the see from a cliff (which is not so high) while I cant swim at all (I was nearly dying of drowning when I was 12, so I was afraid of sea water for mor than 10 year later). Before jumping, I asked my friend:
- Is it deep? ( I meaned if it is not so deep for a person like me (cant swim) to jump into the sea and my feet can touch the ground)
- Yes .( My friend meaned it's deep enough to jump)
Finally, I still jumped (like try or die) and my friend had to save me. In the end, I didn't afraid sea water any more. Am I crazy or brave???? :)

Teach, Learn, Share

I want to learn everthing from everybody and from the smallest details of life. That's why I quitted my job as Assistant for General Manager of Long Beach Resort, managed by Berjaya Resorts and Hotels to come to Austria, to learn about different culture, to learn about children care, children education, and housework. I hope after 1 year stay here, I learn as much as possible, especially German. Ja, I know that is Austrian German :)

What I Can Share with Hosts

Being a member of CS since 2012, but I didnt really get involved, because I didn't have my own room to share. But what I can do for other CSers is sharing, sharing my knowledge of Vietnamese tourism (I worked in this field for 2 years before I decided to stop working and come to Austria), sharing my life experience, sharing my life philosophy and listening to everyone who just simply need a person to listen to him/her.
