About Me

Hello! Thank you for reading my description
I have lived in Pichilemu, Chile for 18 years. I learned to surf when I was 11 years old because the waves are perfect all year round but the water is 12° in general so you need a surfing suit minimum 3/4 or more. Since I was a child I was in nature and I think I generated a special relationship that now I have deepened much more. I love to share with people from different cultures on beautiful trips, doing sports, eating well, and resting...
At 19 I went to study in Santiago (3hrs 1/2 of Pichilemu) for 4 years, I was always an active student in the academic and also in the social aspect, since Im a student of public administration full of vocation.
As many of you know, the Chilean people are currently, going toward a constitutional process, in which our constitution is going to be rewritten. And of course, we young people want to shape our vision of the future we want to be.
Paradoxically, I am in the middle of my student exchange in Europe, but without ever forgetting my roots, I want to see by my own, the truly culture of this amazing continent. I want to be inspired by the good ideas you have already thought about self-sustainability, and to share a little bit of history of course.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Right now I'm solo traveling from August 17 to September 10. As a visitor, I want to actively listen to your way of thinking and be immersed in the culture of each place I visit.
Besides, the history and culture of each place are interesting to me.
Going out to visit historical neighborhoods with good company and conversation or simply silence, local spots of typical food, going to bathe, trekking, camping, chilling under the sun in a natural place is always an excellent panorama for me.
I would love to meet your friends too and participate in your summer plans for the days of my visit! This way I will be very immersed in your beautiful culture!

Right now I am planning an agroecology and ecotourism project called @elbronce.pichilemu (IG) and I want to see all kinds of garden projects. Whether they are urban, home, community, family, social or collective, for-profit or not for profit; in any of its possible stages.

Music, Movies, and Books

I like Nicola cruz, Mercedes Sosa, Abya yala, Residente (Calle 13), Anita Tijux, Perotá Chingo, Trash Sultana, Silvana Estrada, Daniel, me estás matando, Torina Saputo, Trinity roots, Cultura profética, iLe, Rawayana, Churupaca, Natalia Lafourcade, Monsieur Periné, and a long etcetera. I love Latin American music: the rhythm, the style, the instruments, etc. In my small town there is a festival of folklore of the world called EtnoCáhuil and whenever I can #I go.
I have a pretty bad memory and although I've read quite a few books in the summers at home, I don't have many titles in mind to recommend, maybe when we talk I'll remember one and tell you!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

It may sound cliché but at this moment I think that having a life and a lot of health is something I appreciate day by day. It is incredible all that is happening in relation to the pandemic and I always worry about respecting all health measures. I have never been infected and I hope to continue like this.
I spent my confinement in the countryside of Bégadan, France. There I learned to speak French and I learned to value simple things like playing music, painting, cooking, talking, playing volleyball, or resting quietly in the sun.
#keepitsimple

Teach, Learn, Share

There are many things we can do together! I like stretching, cooking Chilean and world food too, I can show you the project where I have put my heart and energy... I have also traveled around the south of Chile, I know how to travel cheaply in Chile being an expensive country even for Europeans.

What I Can Share with Hosts

Yeyyy! This is the best part, the exchange then! I offer to get the ingredients (but I'll need your help to find them) and make some nice typical Chilean empanadas! The traditional ones are meat and baked, but there are many vegetarian and vegan varieties too!
My grandmother is an excellent cook and through her, I learned to smell and taste the perfect seasoning of my country's food.
Obviously cleaning the dishes, keeping the order, and bringing food into the house is included in my visit!
