About Me

ABOUT ME

I'm always delighted to share and meet other people and cultures! As well as trying to speak and learn new languages, which sends back to the first affirmation.

I'm currently achieving a 2-years world tour as much as possible through lands and seas ⛵🚃🚌👍🏻🌍.
Now on the way back, I planned it be back home in late March 2024!

I travelled a lot in Americas, Asia and worked several months in Brisbane, Australia to save money as a waiter and bartender.

Every meeting is a blessing to me. I love to learn from different languages and cultures, countries' history and to exchange personal stories.

I got trained also in Non-violent communication, to improve my way of communicating (listening to others and expressing my needs in a way that facilitates connection).
It's a practice that brought me a lot of hope, when I was working in very difficult humanitarian or social missions with people risking their lives at sea, or welcoming unaccompanied minors in France.

I'm not yet a professional, but I would dream one day to become a mediator in conflict mediation (for individual conflicts as well as international ones). And thus trying to bring more peace and well-being to our societies.

PHILOSOPHY
My personal saying:

Trying each day to unfold "the Wealth of Sharing the Cultures; and the Culture of Sharing the Wealth."

"Richesse du partage des cultures ; culture du partage des richesses."

In my point of view, the more the people you meet is different, the more might the meeting brings you.

Para mi, mas la gente que encuentro es diferente, mas la platica será enriquecedora.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

While achieving my world tour, my partner is heading back to France for Christmas and I would be happy to meet more people while travelling as well as being hosted.
I always appreciate talks around languages, cultures and history!

Interests

Learning and speaking foreign languages is a passion.
The cause of people on the move's rights (migrations, political refugees) grabs my interest in particular - I worked in this field.
I swim, play piano and charango, practice non violent communication and of course love travelling!

Music, Movies, and Books

I use to listen a wide range of different musics, and I'm currently creating my own travel playlist from musics that I enjoy on the way. If you want to share some, I might add them too!

Regarding books, I like to read thoughtful ones, that bring me in a deep intellectual trips or questioning. I'm reading at the moment "The Shock Doctrine" from Naomi Klein.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

• To cross the Atlantic Ocean sailing on a small 33-feet mono hull for 1 month and 1 week with 3 crewmates, without stopping on land, being late and coping with lack of food and water.

• To climb a 4000 meters volcano in eruption in Guatemala.

• Meeting 3 whales on a ship in Australia, jumping around us for about 30 minutes.

• To work and live in a volunteer work camp in Turkey with 20 students from different countries.

Teach, Learn, Share

I would love to learn and teach about actuality, current deadlocks, our travel experiences and learnings, and to teach about what I received and processed from my experiences and studies.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I can offer preparing some interesting French food, amongst "Crêpes au caramel au beurre salé", which is my speciality. (to like butter is recommended)

If you enjoy music, I can offer a show playing Charango, a traditional small guitar from Andean region. (I'm still learning but getting better, no worries I can stop if you don't like it!).

To play a very fun card games called "Jungle speed" that I always carry with me. Easy to learn!

To practice different languages amongst English, French, Spanish, a few Arabic and some Chinese.
