About Me
CURRENT MISSION
6 Days trip to London to explore the city and meet friends
ABOUT ME
I'm a german guy, easy going and open to any new experiences and impressions. Being 21, I'm pretty young but people often call me somewhat ahead of my age :)
I always try to give back as much as I can. I DO absolutely appreciate being hosted, so I am more than happy so split any occuring costs as well as offering my help (doing dishes etc.)
I'm a non smoker, but it doesn't bother me to be in the company of people who do it.
I am back home now from a great 1,5 year journey through Australia, New Zealand and Asia and have learned and done so many things that I would have never thought to be possible. The biggest is probably that I started my own business in the Solar Industry in Australia. How I got there is a story for itself and after a few struggles in the beginning I was working as a Sales and Marketing Contractor for the fourth biggest and probably the best Solar Electricity company in Australia.
Right now, I study Medical Engineering in Stuttgart, Germany.
PHILOSOPHY
Having been a too big of a head person and overthinking stuff in the past, I'm now more balanced and try to get the best of both rational thinking and letting things flow out of spontaneity and emotions. I'm up for everything sponateous and fun, but nevertheless pleased with some good conversation.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
Making the most out of any trip that I do. I want to learn new things, meet locals and hear their stories. Accordingly I want to share my experiences and mindset, but more than anything I just want to have a laugh and a good time with somebody that turned from stranger to friend in only a few hours.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
Cities I surfed: Adelaide, Brisbane, Gold Coast, Cairns, Queenstown. When I started this I would have never thought that it's gonna be THAT great. I made experiences I will never forget and met truly amazing people. I'm just so thankful for all that!
Interests
I'm really into electronic music and I love to go to such parties. Other than that I'm interested in science, psychology and to some extent philosophy.
I love having a good coffee!

Music, Movies, and Books
As I already stated, I'm really into electronic music, like Techhouse, Deep House, Minimal and Techno. Ambient is fine, too. (But Dubstep is just not my kind of thing)
But I can also enjoy other genres, for instance classical piano pieces, so if you love playing the guitar, don't be deterred by my taste of music ;)
Books: Life of Pi was great. Thinking fast and Slow by Daniel Kahneman is phenomenal. If you think you know a book I really must read or even have a great one, you don't need anymore, go ahead!
I'm always up for watching a good movie. Some that come to my mind when asked about about my favourites are: Fight Club, 12 Monkeys, London, Inception, Django, Trainspotting, Fear and loathing in Las Vegas, ...
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
After more than one year of traveling there are quite a few things and I just can't choose one over the other:
Did a skydive over the Great Barrier Reef where I landed on the Beach with Coconut Palms everywhere, 2 bungee jumps, 4WD tour on Fraser Island and Whitsunday Sailing tour in Australia, Diving on the Great Barrier Reef, did the 109m Canyin Swing in Queenstown a couple of times (did a triple gainer one time and have a video of it), Glacier Hiking in New Zealand, Zorbing, Rafting, Drift Triking down a windy mountain road.
Also climbed famous Mt. Doom in New Zealand. That's the mountain Frodo dropped the ring in! I realized I love climbing mountains so I also did a 3 Day trip up Mt. Rinjani in Indonesia (most amazing landscape I have ever seen)
Teach, Learn, Share
Teach:
- I have a sleeping disease called Narcolepsy, and after 3 years of really struggling to even get up in the morning and doing the easiest things, as well as not failing classes because of it, I was able to manage it better and better. Through natural medicine (no weed - it kinda works, but I'm just not really into this drug), meditation, autogenic training and a positive mindset, I was able to first get off any of the strong medication I got and now even have minimal sympthoms on most days.
So if you have Narkolepsy, too, or even just some sleeping problems, there is a good chance that I can give you some helpful advise.
- Anything Android related, such as unlocking phones, fixing software issues, flashing firmwares, kernels and custom ROMs, improving battery life, etc.
Learn - I'm interested in pretty much anything. I love learning new stuff!
Maybe somebody can teach me to do a backflip on the ground or give me his informed opinion about some current happening in the world.
I'm currently getting back into sports after a severe shoulder injury followed by a whole year of intense physical therapy and then a surgery. That was 1 year ago and now I want to get fit again and gain some muscle mass. I would love to try out any new sport and have some fun!
