I am a single 31y/o Australian born Filipino. I’ve always loved to cook and travel which led me to become an avid voyager and nomadic chef. Over the last few years I have been cooking seasonally on a vineyard in the south of France, with some stints around the world in between summer’s - living in cities such as Montréal Canada, Lima Peru, Pottsville Australia (near to Byron Bay) and Saint Tropez France. As well as some time living at sea on expedition vessels in both the Arctic and Antarctic. I am proud to say that I was able to visit my 7th continent at the age of 25 and have visited over 45 countries & I intend on largely increasing this figure.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I was recommended this application by a close friend of mine, as a way to affordably find the means to travel on a recent voyage throughout Europe and Africa. Additionally they explained how through couch surfing you often can be given the opportunity to meet generous, fun & like minded people the world over. This seemed very appealing and if not crucial to me when travelling.

Music, Movies, and Books

I’ve played the guitar since I was a young boy and I absolutely love music in all of its forms; as long as it has either a message, relatability or a sensation to offer. I especially love R&B, soul, jazz, rock & roll, hip hop, rap, alternative, Latin, salsa, classical, metal, pop & Motown. The only music that i don’t so much listen to is the lyrically inaudible screamo kind. However, i can still appreciate the instrumentals and the art form none the less.

When it comes to movies I like the imaginative and expressive kind..and something with a good soundtrack. If I had to give an example of the diversity I enjoy, I would list: The Bad Batch, Amélie, Avatar, Apocalypto, The Man with the Iron Fists, The lion king, Moana, The Departed & The 36th Chamber of Shaolin.
