About Me

Hi everybody! I´m Valentin- young soul born in Argentina, currently living in Shanghai (PRC).
My goal in life: to be happy.
I believe that quite often the most unplanned and inconvenient opportunities turn out to be the best experiences in life. Everything that can get you out of your comfort zone is 100% excellent. It may not be easy, but as Steve Jobs said: ‘You can’t connect the dots looking forward, you can only connect them looking backwards’.
I'm always happy to find people willing to create moments that show why life is totally worth living. Welcome to share this mission with me.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

We (the people who belong to this community) share, at least, one interest: the curiosity for travelling in a different way. We still trust the world is an amazing place to live and be discovered. How incredible is it to have this network that connect many of us who share that view?
Hope to discover many amazing people on the way!

Music, Movies, and Books

Music: Of Monsters and Men, Mumford & sons, Angus & Julia Stone.
Movies: Not so fond of spending hours in front of a screen but my favourite film director is Woody Allen.
Books: I'm fond of reading everything, from management books to thrillers, biographies and self-help books. Bookstores are heaven for me but I usually walk out dissapointed cause I promised myself to read all the books I have before buying new ones.
Food: although korean food is my favourite, I love food generally and I’m really open about trying new things. Baking is one of my passions. I just find it amazing how ingredients that worth nothing separately (flour, raw eggs, sugar), can become an amazing ‘whole’ so perfectly. Gotta say my brownies are hard to beat!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Doing an exchange program in South Korea that changed me forever, quitting a formal job to start studying a new language from the scratch in the opposite side of the world, and hope to share many more when we are together!

What I Can Share with Hosts

Since my job keeps me pretty busy, I can only host once in a while. I probably don’t have a lot of time to tour around but can offer advice on whatever you need about visiting the city and if I have time, we could definetely do something together! Fond of getting the chance to share thoughts with different people with different perspectives. Just message me and we will figure it out.
