About Me
(*˘︶˘*).。.:*♡
Hola! I am a happy-go-lucky Venezuelan girl that just arrived in Barcelona and lived in England until quite recently. I have moved countless of times due to my dad's job so I'm used to being on the move - I actually like changing my surroundings often, can't stay too long in the same place.
I'm based in El Raval, an upcoming area of Barcelona that will definitely be the next boom in a few years, I see it a little bit like Hackney back in London. There are loads of things to do around El Raval with loads of little bars and places to eat and I'm just a 10 minute walk to Las Ramblas and La Boquería Market and also metro stations that can take you to La Pedrera, Casa Batlló and La Sagrada Familia, we have lovely neighbours and live on a bustling street full of interesting characters, however El Raval has a very distinct smell, you'll see what I mean if you visit.
.:*♡ Please read before sending requests for staying (*・ᴗ・*)و ♡*:.
Me and my flatmate are both Masters students, however, if possible we'd be happy to host you if you look like a nice person. We can only host one person at a time but we might be flexible if the other person has a sleeping bag and a mat and doesn't mind sleeping on the floor as the sofa can only hold one person, I've tested it myself (^_~ ). In our flat we have an old cat named Sunny, so if you have any kind of allergies to cats or animals in general is best if you look somewhere else, there's hair everywhere. We'll only host a max of 2 nights and only weekends as I work and study during the week, so please have this in mind when requesting.
>> Please note that I am NOT in Couchsurfing to "hook up". I'm here to make genuine new friends all over the world and make lovely new memories so I appreciate no indecencies and no strange offers, this is not a dating site so please only message me or send me hosting offers/requests after reading and understanding this. Gracias (^^) <
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I believe that nothing is more nurturing for the soul than travelling and meeting people from different parts of the world. I love getting to know and learn other cultures and much more the ones that are completely different to my Latin ways.
Travelling and exploring will be my priority for the next few years to make the most of my 20s. One of my dreams is to travel by road from Mexico all the way down to Argentina, visiting everything in between so I'd like to make new friends on here so we can have travel together, help and learn from one another.
Interests
Travelling is my #1 favourite thing! And pretty much anything that involves outdoor fun activities like camping, exploring, trekking, hiking & cycling. Love David Attenborough documentaries, particularly Planet Earth. I'm trying to learn how to crochet [but I can only make simple things like a phone or tablet bag *sad face*], I love going to festivals [I've been to Reading Festival x 4, Glastonbury, Bestival x 2, V Festival], I tend to buy things with nice packaging, I collect magazines & publications.
I love anything that is cute and colourful, love animals - especially Red Pandas and my cat Sunny (^^). I like playing video games every now and then [Pokémon and Harvest Moon are my favourites ~] and watching animated series [pretty hooked on Regular Show & Steven Universe].

What I Can Share with Hosts
I'd be more than happy helping out with cleaning and cooking if you wanted me to.
I'm quite open and easygoing and love to share my Venezuelan culture and what I've learnt in the past years in England. I make some banging Mojitos and Cuba Libres [Venezuelans love rum hehe] and I can teach you how to make Arepas, my favourite breakfast and Venezuela's most treasured meal. I'd be happy to help you brush up your Spanish and English if you ever wanted to!
