Hi! I am Italian and I come from a small town, Alessandria, in Northwest Italy. I love travelling, doing sports, singing and connecting with people. I am passionate about Chinese culture and I have lived in China for a couple of years and now dividing my time between Italy and Beijing. :) Currently getting closer and closer to Buddhism.

I love sports, in the past I played volleyball and basketball, but my heart belongs to kung fu, which I practiced for many years. As of today, I am sadly not practicing anymore (due to a few physical issues) and I have turned to OCR (Obstacle Course Race). With OCR (in case you don't know what I am talking about, it's the Spartan race stuff) I am constantly challenging myself, but going at my own pace. Other than that, I am a mountain walker, I love being out in nature.
I also love singing, I've sung as a solist and in a choir. I like pretty much every music genre, but not a fan of metal and current trap music.
I have a deep interest in all that concerns the brain, psychology and physical training.
Besides that, I am a nerd for TV series: could watch them all day long. I like reading as well, I usually read non-fiction (last one I read was about Asian politics and culture), but I am opening up again to novels as well. I am also into writing, I mostly write "poetry" (what looks like poetry at least haha).
I basically like every kind of food (French, Indian, Mexican, Thai..) but I am mostly in love with Chinese and Japanese food. Wine always welcome here as well.

Music: Basically anything that sounds good to my ears and my soul. :) (for example 30 seconds to Mars, Ludovico Einaudi, Passenger, Jamie Cullum, Frank Sinatra..)

Movies: The Lord of the Rings is probably my favorite. I like adventure, fantasy, romance, dramatic, and comedy movies. Not so much action and thriller movies, and not at all horror movies. Tv series: GoT, Outlander, Fringe, Manifest, Grey's Anatomy, House of Cards (and many more).

Books: besides non-fiction, I am currently in love with Gianluca Gotto, a world traveler turned into writer (find him on IG!). Others: 1984, Siddhartha, Pride and Prejudice + Italian fantasy novels by Licia Troisi.

I was an exchange student! I lived in the US for 6 months with a wonderful family + hiking unrestored and perilous parts of the Great Wall with a group of crazy people (the parts that can only be accessed through the woods 😎).

I am an AFS (American Field Service) volunteer! I am really proud of this activity, 'cause I get to accompany young students (like I was when I did my semester in the US) throughout their path towards the moment of departure. Plus, I get to interact with foreign students from all over the world coming to my town.

Besides that, I've come to the conclusion that people are a never-lasting source for learning. Learn about all kind of stuff, learn more about yourself and have amazing experiences, even when you get to be with them just a couple of hours.
