About Me

UPDATED FEB. 2020
Due to coronavirus outbreak I moved to Indonesia, but my journey is not over yet. Let's see what will happen next :)

UPDATED DEC. 2019
Currently do not accept guests, sorry.
But!

Sometimes when I'm not super busy with work I can meet travelers to show them around or just to have a coffee talk :D

My instagram: valerialeer

I'm Valeria but here in China most of my friends call me Lee or 丽. I moved to Shanghai in spring 2019 and still happy with it :) Before I lived in the beautiful city of Qingdao (Shandong province) where I studied Chinese and then worked.

Originally I'm coming from Saint Petersburg, Russia, and after talking to me people can easily tell that they're dealing with Russian - due to my accent of course (but I'm working on it!) and sometimes also to my stereotypically serious look bwahaha :) But actually I'm very friendly, easy-going and warm-hearted creature who's always ready to learn something new and chat about things happening in this world. I'm always craving for new information and happy to listen to the stories you can share with me!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I'm here to host and to be hosted! But mostly to host because lately I don't have opportunity to travel as much as I'd like to.

Peace, love and cheers everybody!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

By the age of 24 I had all the ingredients for so-called "normal life" - a place to live, a pretty good job and even a perspective to start a family. But one day I suddenly gave up everything I had and moved to another country to set up completely new life - from the very beginning, on my own. Not everyone supported my choice, but anyway I think that was one of the most difficult and also coolest decisions I made.

Teach, Learn, Share

If there's anybody who learns Russian, I surely can help! Plus I can share information which can be useful for foreigners living or traveling in China

What I Can Share with Hosts

Will be ready and happy to help with all the house chores and cooking. Ah yes, I'm a good palm reader, so I can tell you when you'll get married and how many kids you'll have in the future :D
