ABOUT ME

I was born and raised in Mexico City, but I love traveling and hearing stories about faraway places.
I just finished my masters in Political Sociology and this winter I'm traveling to Europe to have new experiences, catch up with some friends that live there and hopefully to decide what I'm going to do in the future...
I enjoy discussing politics, meeting new people and discovering different perspectives.

I created this account to find friends in other cities and hopefully find where to stay while I'm travelling this winter. I'd love to host someone when I return.

Books: I love literature but recently I've been reading lots and lots of academic stuff.
If I had to name some authors then I'd say: Hesse, Borges, Plath, Vallejo, Villaurrutia, Bradbury, Vargas Llosa, Cortazar, Murakami... this could go on and on.
Movies: If it's about entertainment I confess I've enjoyed every Lord of the rings and Batman movie. However, I do believe some films are art, and therefore must say that people like Kubrick, Fellini, Wenders, Bergman, Jodorowsky, Buñuel, Aronofsky and Coppola are artists.
TV Shows: Nothing will ever compare to The Office (UK version). Anyhow, a few weeks ago a friend lent me the first Breaking Bad season and I devoured it...
Music: Too much to say about it. Rock specially (Radiohead, The Smiths).
I love dancing (studied contemporary dance for a couple of years).

我做过的一件不可思议的事情

I spent a month in rural towns in Guerrero, Mexico doing community work. I met there many amazing people and children who work hard to organize themselves and accomplish their goals.

I'm discovering the art of biking (and finding it really hard in Mexico City). I hope to improve those skills, preferably in a more biker- friendly town.
