About Me
Please note that currently I do not host. If you need a place to stay, you can find a host faster if you search via "Find Hosts" and contact those who marked themselves as "Accepting Guests" in their status (added after many miss-aimed requests).
ABOUT ME
Originally from Ukraine, I lived in Estonia for almost 6 years (so I find any weather amazing). Favourite holiday – Halloween, I love the liberty it gives and I dress up almost every year. I enjoy reading, always have a book in my bag (or in my headphones, audiobooks are a blessing, fight me on it). I only recently got pretty good at cycling (living in Amsterdam and all), and I very much enjoy parachute jumping and paragliding. Not a clubbing person, so nightlife is not my strongest suit, yet I love to just walk around cities at night.
PHILOSOPHY
"Never compare your life to others. Live yours, love yours. You know nothing about theirs". (c) Anthony Jerrard
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
Love showing people around, it's a great energy exchange. I also enjoy being on a receiving side – hear stories from others. It's quite amazing to see places through someone else's eyes – even your own city becomes different.
Music, Movies, and Books
MUSIC: Rock, Blues, Jazz, Ethno.
BOOKS (that have influenced my life a great deal):
"Alice's Adventures in Wonderland" by Lewis Carroll, "Saga o wiedźminie" by Andrzej Sapkowski, "A Moveable Feast" by Ernest Hemingway, "Sans famille" by Hector Malot, "The Coral Island: A Tale of the Pacific Ocean" by Robert Ballantyne, "Papillon" by Henri Charrière, novels by Francis Scott Fitzgerald and counting.
MOVIES:
The Curious Case of Benjamin Button, Frances Ha, The Boat That Rocked (and almost everything that Richard Curtis has directed), Snatch, Legend, Constantine, Zombieland, Freedom Writers, Call Me By Your Name, Hellboy (by Guillermo del Toro), Jolie et Jaune, Sicario, La Boum, Moulin Rouge!, Chéri and so on.
I appreciate a good camera work and storytelling. Very much enjoy documentaries.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Saw 'Hamlet' in the Shakespeare's Globe. Made a parachute jump from 4 km height in tandem and then again solo. Some skydiving too. Participated in a full blown Indian wedding :)
Teach, Learn, Share
I appreciate any exchange of experience in music, life philosophy, cooking, art etc.
Always have interest in people's view on world – we are so different, so it's always a great wonder how the same things occur in different people's minds.
What I Can Share with Hosts
Love cooking experiments in the kitchen, but results might be specific :)
