Hi! My name is Valerie, currently living in La Parguera, Puerto Rico. I am a mom of 2 and married. My family loves to meet people from around the world and we love to travel, but we are not doing it too often since...kids! As a family, we have been in Guatema;a, Uruguay, Argentina, South Korea, Lima (Perú), Corsica, Dominican Republic, Boracay (Phillippines), some parts of the US: New York, Florida, and Georgia ( Alaska coming soon).
When we travel we avoid tourist traps but we know that some places are amazing and that they are worth visiting even if it's crowded.
My husband is a US Army veteran, he is retired, and loves riding and collecting vintage bikes, We love bikes, cats and dogs, coffee ( a lot), wine, and learning about culture and traditions.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Every travel has become more expensive, the kids are growing, they eat more, they have to pay tickets for attractions, and we really don't want to miss out fun because of budget issues. I wnat them to see the world, I have seen how they gain knowledge and experience when we take them on new horizons. Best one so far for them was Guatemala and Uruguay!
