About Me

Hellooo.
I'm a year 1 business student in Singapore, and life is an adventure to me:-)

I love to travel and meet new people from different backgrounds during my holidays. Since summer is coming up, I'd like to discover new things and meet new people to make summer a fulfilling experience.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Other than for the fact that as a student I travel on a tight budget, I believe that the essence of travelling is the interaction with the locals. Its always interesting to see how my culture is similar to someone else's despite the distance between our countries, or how different we are, even if our countries are just next to each other.

Interests

The great outdoors :-) Since secondary school, I have always been interested in outdoor sports. I spent most of my teenage years as a field hockey goalkeeper for my schools and club.
After my A levels, I spent my holidays working for a laser tag company, spending a lot of time organising laser tag games outdoors for companies, schools and private events.
Recently, I've taken up a new and completely different sport - windsurfing. I love the sea and feeling so close to nature!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

The most memorable trip I had was my trip to Philippines back in 2015. We were there for a mission trip, and we were there for a total of 3 weeks. That was the first time I experienced the life of a local while travelling. We ate home cooked food by the locals, slept in homes constructed by their family and neighbours, and travelled by cheaper options used by the locals.
I've talked to the locals and built great bonds with them over conversations that were close to our hearts. We played with the kids and had lots of fun despite our language barriers.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I would love to share about what's life like in Singapore!! Perhaps I could even bring some snacks and local delicacies over for my hosts to sample :>
