About Me

Hello fellow Couchsurfers!

I am stepping back on hosting for a moment because I've been having some annoying health issues and because I am simply too occupied to give you, my guest, the attention and interaction that you deserve.
I'll be back eventually ans glad to meet more amazing people :) Thank you for understanding.

DISCLAIMER:
Please read my profile before sending the request, tell me what connects us when you request a stay (or you can just tell me if you basically need a place to crash, that's cool) aaand avoid copy pasting in a way that is noticable. Thanks!
Also, I host 3 nights, not longer, my space is too small for that unfortunatly.

Sooo yeah about me. I'd say I'm a walking-talking-breathing paradox. I am a seeker. I'm an idealistic pessimist. I'm socially awkward but very open. I love many human beings but I can also go on long rants on humanity. I am active but also somewhat lazy.

All in all, I think you should get to know me and decide who I am for yourself. Or just enjoy my company and don't put labels on me ;)

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

A good friend of mine once told her daughter, who had gotten into a fight over a toy: "Se tiene que compartir, porque todo que tenemos en este vida es prestado, y lo único que se queda despues de nuestro muerte es el amor que damos a los demas."
- We need to share, because all we have in this life is but lend and the only thing that remains once we're gone is the love that we give to others.

Interests

I love languages. Speaking them, writing them, reading them, analyzing them, learning new ones, translating them - I am a language nerd and I love it.
I am also very passionate about music, specifically singing (I guess I haven't picked up my violine in a while now). Be prepared for me talking about my main choir for at least ten minutes but shying away from singing in front of you because oh my god what if I don't hit a note ;)
Pole dancing, and dancing in general is also something that is dear to me. Since I was three years old I was basically always dancing, and I've done anything from ballet over hip hop and ragga down to Cheerleading.
And then also I am just really interested in finding a sustainable, ethically responsible, kind way to live my life so as to leave the smallest possible foot print on earth and spreading love and trust among all of us, though I admit especially the first part is kind of a struggle sometimes.

Music, Movies, and Books

Books
Harry Potter (Always), Lord of the Rings and any related works by Tolkien, K. F.'s War of Giants, Siddartha (most Hesse books really), J. Von Eichendorff's Taugenichts, Greek and Roman Mythology, Kafka

Movies
Harry Potter, Lord of the Rings
Bohemian Rapsody was real good.
Old Charlie Chaplin and Jackie Chan movies.
I also enjoy a good Rom-Com, some Queer Eye or Stranger Things from time to time.

Music
Punk, Rock, Grunge, Metal and Pop all intermingeled, depending on my mood. Catch me listening to pretty much anything.

I also sing contemporary classical music (Gjeilo, Britten, Jennefelt, Schanderl etc.) Props if you actually know who any of those people are.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Being alive and having the opportunity to get to know the dark and the light places of well-being, being able to travel and get to see and touch and see and smell what an amazing planet we live on.

Learning not to judge people and how that affects your relationship with individual people, the human species as a collective, and with yourself.

If I have to be more specific: being in the desert, seeing the aurora and bungee jumping.

Teach, Learn, Share

If we get the chance to spend some time together, we can maybe cook a meal or have a cup of tea or coffee or what ever.
I'd be pleased to tell you about Swiss culture and teach you some words in the languages I speak. We might end up singing together.
When staying at my house, you're at home, so you can pretty much use anything. I don't expect you to bring anything than respect and some communication skills ;)

To my (potential) hosts: I'll probably bring you chocolate or some other Swiss treat and I'd be glad to help with any cleaning, any animal related tasks, shopping, you name it.

While on the topic (I don't think we are really but what ever)
I eat 95% vegan at home and am a vegetarian anywhere else. You can cook meat at my place but I won't touch it and if I cook for you, it will be a vegetarian dish. I am not trying to convert anyone and think as long as you are happy with your choices, you do you, but I thought it might be good to mention this here.

What I Can Share with Hosts

Urgh I forgot that this question is seperate. Can I be as lazy as to send you up to the question about learning and sharing...? Thank youuu!!
