About Me

I'm a Masters student studying Experiential and Outdoor Education. I love hiking, exploring, and trying the local beers of the places I travel.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I love to travel, and I think that meeting new people who are fellow travelers or who have some local knowledge they are willing to share is one of the best parts.

When I am able to host, I like to give my visitors some suggestions of the best things I know about in my area. I'm happy to guide when I don't need to work.

As a guest, I hope to get to know my host and respect how they run their home. I'm happy to cook a meal, tour the city together, or keep myself out of the way as necessary. I'm clean, friendly, and appreciate of my host's hospitality.

Interests

I have a wide range of interests. Sort of a classic jack of all trades (master of none!)

  • photography
  • dining
  • cooking
  • running
  • traveling
  • outdoor activities
  • equestrian
  • hiking
  • backpacking
  • camping

Music, Movies, and Books

I have a hard time choosing my favorite book. It's often whatever the last one is that I read. But I think a lot can be learned about a person by talking about what they like to read, so to provide a specific answer I would always say that my favorite book is "Cat's Cradle" by Kurt Vonnegut. He is a funny, insightful satirist, and this book creates such an absurd world while touching on the realistic circumstances of modernity that are not always sich positive things.

Highly recommended!

What I Can Share with Hosts

I've lived a rather unorthodox life for a middle class American girl. I can share my stories, experiences, jokes, and travel tips. Preferably I would like to lend my ear and listen to what you have to share. I can never learn enough from the many amazing people on this planet who have lived such different lives to mine!

Countries I’ve Lived In

Germany, Norway, Tanzania, United Kingdom, United States
