About Me

I'm 27 years old and i come from southern Italy, precisely in the countryside of Brindisi, half way between Brindisi and Mesagne. I came back in Apulia in 2014 after finishing my bachelor in Turin. For two years i collaborated with an urban laboratory in Mesagne and worked as a swimming and basketball instructor. In 2016 I decided to move to Switzerland for attending a three years degree in physiotherapy and I just came back to my hometown.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I always look for adventures and i like to travel but not like a tourist, i want to discover cultures of the places i visit so couchsurfing is a great thing for me!

Interests

My interests change rather frequently but i could tell some steady ones. I love music, especially live music therefore i often move around the region for seeing gigs or festivals; i'm a greedy book and comics reader and an history enthusiast; i swim, play basketball and have practised several sports; with my group of friends i frequently play to board games, among them Risiko is our favourite one. I recently got keen on farming and directing a farm and starting from the bottom i produce home made jams, liquors and other products. I'm very interested in ecology and I'm developing some projects with the aim of reclaiming land from industry and give it back to nature as it was originally.

Music, Movies, and Books

My currently favourite book overall is certainly "Les Fleurs Bleues" just ahead of "il conte di Montecristo", but i could tell dozens of other good ones (books and comics). My music is rather various although i generally don't like techno, tekno, house and other kinds of electronic music. I can't really tell a favourite film but maybe some film directors i appreciate: Alejandro Iñárritu, Stanley Kubrick, Coen brothers, Michelangelo Antonioni, Abdellatif Kechiche, Emir Kusturica, just to mention some.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I recently bought a camper.
I've spent one year in Romania with the Erasmus programme, i've travelled around Europe, the Balkans and some other parts of the planet with every possible mean and loved it!

Teach, Learn, Share

There's always much to learn and much to teach. One of the few things i know for sure is that i could learn a lot from almost everybody and many people could learn from me.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I live with my family in a big countryside house, we have a castle bed in the house and some couches in the basement (with toilet and shower), if anybody would like to pitch a tent there's plenty of space (about 4 hectars). The only inconvenience is, if you don't have a car, the distance from the nearby cities (Mesagne and Brindisi) that is about 7 km, anyhow there is a bus stop at 2 km from the house and with my family and our neighbours it won't be hard to get a ride to the city.
