About Me
I'm sorry guys but I can't host at the moment, cause I'm gonna travel around Europe for the next two months
CURRENT MISSION
"Don’t feel guilty if you don’t know what you want to do with your life. The most interesting people I know didn’t know at 22 what they wanted to do with their lives". That was from "The big Kahuna" movie. Well, now I'm 25 and I still don't know what I want to do in my life.
ABOUT ME
Sicilian guy, recently moved to Wien to try to get to know what is actually winter, since I've always thought that winter was that season when you go to the sea while people go to school. Now that I know, I'm just trying to focus on what I want to do when I grow up (even if there are many haters saying I'm already grown enough).
I'm a pianist, but I'm working as a rider for Foodora, the exact job what I studied for, right? (please somebody say yes). But actually it's really really great, because it gave me the possibility to discover the city in a different way, stay fit, keep having six packs, damn it, that was about me, not about making advertisement for Foodora, ok, let's move on...
I think I'm a little bit shy and that's my luck because if I'm comfortable I can't stop talking. I think my English isn't very good so I'd like to talk and learn as much as possible to improve and start talking a lot also in English!
I'd like to have new experiences which could be useful for my path of life, having new stories to tell, hoping not to bore anyone when I tell them.
I'd like to meet new people who travelled and can tell me something about amazing stuff around the world.
I don't like crowds or people in big groups, I prefer to stay with a few people to deeply understand them, who I could be more comfortable (and chatty?!) with.
PHILOSOPHY
"Life is fullness, not time"
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN
I guess you've already read bunch of profiles when people write that CS is amazing because it gives you the opportunity to discover places not mentioned in Lonely Planet guide, eat great local food, make friends and not having a blind date. Well, my profile is an other one of those kind of profiles, because basically everything of that is true.
MY EXPERIENCE
I can easily say that, so far, CS changed my life, I know it sounds cheesy but still, I guess it's true.
After my Master in April 2016 I just took my backpack (Asmadas, but that's another story) and I decided to travel around Europe, with no goal, trying to avoid the question "now that you've got your degree what do you want to do?" from my relatives and trying also to understand what is that I really want to do.
While I still have to figure out this last question, I've met amazing people around Europe, friends, weirdos, dogs and, why not?!, also loneliness.
I've always wondered what is that I can actually call 'home', if it's a place, a person, a house, I still have to figure it out, but, in the meantime, CS gave me the opportunity to think 'ok, I'm home' even if I was in the middle of nowhere. So yes: couchsurfing is really great.
Interests
Well, first of all I'm a pianist, so I like music in many of its genres: I'm a classical pianist, but in this period I'm trying to discover the world of jazz music and his improvisation, then I want to understand contemporary music so... today I'm feeling I'm a classical pianist, but who knows what kind of pianist I'll be tomorrow? (ok, maybe tomorrow I'll still be a classical pianist, but I meant in a month, or in year, ok that was supposed to be a joke, but it's not funny at all, I'm sorry, I've tried)
Then I like indie music, I love it!
But after the music here it comes all my big world: books, american Tv shows and movies! But I'm pretty sure if I start to talk about it I can't finish until the FIFA World Cup so... here it's another important thing in my life: football! I'm an Italian guy, I think it's a cliché, isn't it? But there is an important thing about football: I suck! I can't play football, all the times I played football my friends became angry even because I can't even play as a goalkeeper so I could stop to do damage in the field (I'm a pianist, remember?). So all I can do is watch Juventus on tv and say 'we won' like if I played on the stadium!
Damn, I think I have to be more short, now I think is better do a list
I like go by bike, or, at least, that was what I used to say before join Foodora.
I like art painting, some of my friends are painters and sooner o later I'll be able to understand contemporary art, like futurism, dadaism or Marina Abramovich. For now I'm happy to love "ordinary painting" like Monet (how amazing are the Nympheas?)and my favourite Kandinsky
I like travel (of course: why should I have a CS profile?)
I love Scarlett Johanssonn, I think I don't have to explain why.
And I like to talk, could you imagine?
Last thing: I don't like coffe, I know, who cares?! But since it seems that coffe and Italy are closely related, well, not for this time!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Probably this is not the greatest or the most strange thing that happened to me, but I think it deserves to be told: some years ago I was in the Louisiana, the museum of modern Art of that amazing town of Copenhagen. There was this artistic installation of a japanese guy I think, I don't remember very well. It was a room in which you could enter alone. The installation in this room wasn't so difficult to do: mirrors in every wall and some light, like the Christmas lights. I know, it's not so impressive, but I had the idea that I was on the space, I felt that room was infinite and I remembered when I was 15 and I went camping on the Etna and I had the impression I could touch all the million of stars in the sky, it was amazing to me!
Of course I could talk about my first (and last)standing ovation. Or I could talk about that time when I bought the ticket for Barcelona - Real Madrid when I went to the Camp Nou, but I think that that room and the camping on the Etna are more intimate!
Teach, Learn, Share
I'd like to learn to play football but since this is very difficult I'd rather to learn how to cook some typical dish, or just Italian one since I always fake I cooked some amazing stuff my mom cooked before!
I prefer to learn, not to teach, I'm not a life teacher, not even a simply teacher: do you have trouble sleeping? Ask me to explain something! About musical harmony or maybe a mathematical concept: you'll be in a coma in a few minutes!
