ABOUT ME

Well, it's always difficult for me to write about myself since I'm pretty sure one can truly be described only from outside of his own head :) So the following tends to be rather subjective.
I like to think myself being outgoing and cheerful. One thing I know for sure - I love company. I'm not a kind of person who can spend all his life sitting quietly by the fire. I need new people. I need action. I need feelng alive.

PHILOSOPHY

If you seem to be unhappy - well, look around, feel this very moment about to be gone forever in vain. No one and nothing would ever make you feel in harmony till you choose waisting time on being unhappy. You only live once. So get up and make yourself shine since no one is more capable of it than you are.

Frankly speaking, I haven't hosted anyone via CS yet :(
Still CS did help me meet some great people visiting my home city. I love Volgograd and I'm always happy to show one around it. Just send me a message if you're somewhere nearby :)

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Though I'm quite a newbie to this service, it doesn't mean I lack the experience! My hosting and surfing just tended to happen spontaneously, by word of mouth.

Moreover, this spring something new is about to start for me here - since now I'm surfing for couch in the Netherlands... but, shh, don't scare the luck away! :)

Interests

Historical re-enactment (Medieval Europe), British movies (original British drama), steampunk (just love the atmosphere), comics (not so grown-up, yep), travelling and meeting new people. Testing my character.
I love being challenged. When you're standing still and nothing ever changes - than means you're already dead.

I'm always open to something new. Looking for a company for bungee jumping or learning Korean? Here I am :)

Oh, and I do feed stray animals. If you tend to be cruel to them, I really hope we won't ever meet.

Music, Movies, and Books

And now we've come to the toughest part of our journey. Too many - no, REALLY too many - to list.
I'm a keen reader. (Oh my, talking about books even seems quite a bit intimate) A music lover. A movie fan. Maybe it's easier to list ones I try to avoid?

Well, I definitely won't read love novels (you know, ones in paperback and of questionable quality) or paperback detectives. I'm not much into rap and pop music, too. And no soap operas, of course, only in case of some cultural research!

Some not-so-random facts:
I love rock and alternative, but sometimes feel the need to listen to classics.
When I fancy a film I always dig into actors' and director's filmography to be sure I didn't miss something earlier because of being too little to watch or understand the concept.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

It just doesn't stop happening - every exact second I look around.

Teach, Learn, Share

I can cook medieval food and sew medieval clothes. Not much of handicraft but I'm still working on it :)
I'm sure we could think of something in case of getting awfully bored. We can always have a chat.

By the way, I'm a huge Doctor Who and Firefly fan, so if by any chance you haven't heard about these TV series... oh, you'd better run since I'm not sure if I could make myself silent. Just kidding. Of course, I won't make you listen to me if you're not willing to. You absolutely sure you're not in the mood? :)
