About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Keep on travelling to discover as much different ways of life as possible.

ABOUT ME

I'm a talker and a listener on any subject there is. Once we meet, in Brussels, Montreal or in your hometown (optionaly with a nice glass of beer), you'll learn all there is to know... and more !

PHILOSOPHY

Procrastination. Top ten reasons I procrastinate :
1.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

In my family we always enjoy meeting and hosting new people. I recently started to do that through the couchsurfing and hosted a few surfers at my mom's house in Brussels. Now I moved to Montreal and live in an apartment with two roommates, we wanna host as much surfers as possible!!

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Born couchsurfer in a very welcomy family. I traveled through Russia with my sister sleeping either in trains or in the couches of our incredible hosts. Since then I decided to host people myself, to introduce them to the cities I love the most: Brussels and Montreal.

Interests

Silent movies, Field hockey (wich I play in Belgium), Blues and music in general,Z movies (aka "so bad it's good" movies), walking, new technologies issues (private life for instance), TV shows (especially british comedies), and so on.

Music, Movies, and Books

I'm potentially interested about any kind of music, movies or books as long as the person introducing it to me is passionated about it. I live to discover new things every day.

Here are some of the stuff I really enjoy:

(Music): Billie Holiday, Pulp, The Rolling Stones, Janis Joplin, Paul Simon, Robert Johnson, Jacques Brel, Joy Division, Derek and the Dominos, Otis Redding, Arcade Fire, Caravan Palace, Patti Smith, The Pixies, Canned Heat, Crystal Castles, The Smiths... and so on !

(Movies): every Buster Keaton movie; screwball comedies; cheesy tap dance movies with Fred Astaire; Shaw Brothers movies; and the 3 movies I've seen the most are probably Harold and Maude, Dirty Dancing and Mulan !

(Books): Boris Vian, Henri-David Thoreau's Journal, The Unbearable Lightness of Being (Kundera), Lolita (Nabokov), A Modest Proposal (Jonathan Swift), Les mots (Sartre), 1984 (Orwell).

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Santiago de Compostella (walking on the "Camino del Norte"). 900 km, 30 days hiking in northern Spain, meeting awesome people from all around the world.
Brewery tour 2014: one week by myself in Belgium, walking from one brewery to another not planning in advance where I would sleep at night. Definitely looking forward for a brewery tour 2015 (in Quebec this time), then 2016.. 2017... and so on. There are enough breweries in this world to continue as long as I'm able to walk.

Teach, Learn, Share

Knowledge and taste for good beers (especially Belgian beers). I like to cook for others, simple but tasty food. And I recently started to learn Russian and I would like to improve it.

Countries I’ve Visited
