Hi there, my name's Valmy! I spent a year working and travelling after graduating from university, and I then moved out east to study Music Therapy. I'm an easy-going person that loves good conversation, meeting new people, and sharing & listening to stories.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I love travelling and have an intense wanderlust! I think that being able to connect with people in different places allows us to learn from each other and maybe make a new friend in the process. When I heard about this network I figured this would be the funnest way for me to travel and meet new people at the same time. I've had really cool experiences couchsurfing so far, so I'm excited to meet and host fellow travelers coming down this way :)

Interests

Music! I love going to live shows, playing it, creating it, finding new artists, all of it. It's one of my greatest comforts. I also enjoy reading, nature walks, naps, and watching movies.

Music, Movies, and Books

Music means so much to me and I have such a wide range of preferences of genres and artists. I'm a little all over the place, but what I've listening to the most over the past couple years are artists like : Lewis Watson, Amber Run, Gabrielle Aplin, Coldplay (my favorite band), Noah Gundersen, The Beaches, The Killers, Foo Fighters, City and Colour, Janelle Monae, John Mayer, Queen, and so much more. So if you like any of these artists we'll definitely have a lot to talk about. If you don't, i'm always excited to learn about what artists other people listening to.

Movies: I love all genres and have way too many favourites. If you're into Marvel movies or like watching horror films in the safe company of others, I'm your girl

Books: Anne of Green Gables, The Mortal Instruments series, Never Let Me Go

Did a 4+ hour hike up Huaytapallana mountain in Peru to reach and climb its glacier

What I Can Share with Hosts

If you have any instruments at your place, I'd be more than happy to jam with you, or teach you a few things in the piano/guitar. If you don't have instruments but like to sing, I will probably try to persuade you to sing with me.
