About Me

CURRENT MISSION

To seek the Holy Grail.

ABOUT ME

I like to dance and make up songs about mundane daily tasks. I love the color red. Dogs, cats and most cuddly animals make me super happy. I thoroughly enjoy getting lost in my thoughts. I am weirdly interested in World War II history. I consider myself an introvert, although, when the time comes, I can be quite outgoing.

PHILOSOPHY

When in Rome, do as the Romans do.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I completed a 4-month trip through Europe. My two friends and I couchsurfed and hitch hiked through 17 countries. I have met amazing people through couchsurfing and have loved learning about the world through conversations with them.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I have loved all of my experiences with couch surfing. I have met and spent time with people who I may have never gotten to know before this trip. The people are usually more interesting than the sights.

Interests

I love to paint with acrylics and play with my dog. I also love to try new and different kinds of beer. I am learning to crochet and sew currently. Art in general is interesting to me. I want to learn to grow my own food soon. I also love Spanish and hopefully I will become fluent in it soon.

Music, Movies, and Books

Music: Buddy Holly, Lady Gaga, Lily Allen, Creedence Clearwater Revival.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

When hitch hiking in Sweden, I got a lift from a group of guys in four vintage American cars. It was an amazing experience to drive through the mountains and forests of Sweden in a 1941 Buick, with the windows down, listening to Johnny Cash and Elvis.

Teach, Learn, Share

When I stayed with a host in Ireland, he told me that it is better to listen to other people and learn from them, rather than to talk and try to just prove that I am right. I now try to live out this idea.
