In September, 2014 we have moved from Moscow, Russia to Nuremberg, Germany. And 3 years later, Sept. 2017 - to Berlin (and we're loving it!). My husband Kirill is the kind of person that you'd call a geek or hacker, I suppose, and I'm studying German (still :-)) and trying to find my own way in new circumstances.
Russian is our native language, we both speak English fluently, and I also speak Spanish. German is in progress ;-)
We both love dogs very much, and we have one. We adopted her in 2013, and she's a member of our family now.

I believe that travelling is a great thing, especially if you manage to know the real life of other people, different from your own, and not only to see some of the iconic views from the tourist guide. And, of course, I like the wonder of exchanging interesting stories and experiences that is possible when you meet a complete stranger from another country who yet shares your most important values. And I believe that Couchsurfing is about it (or at least should be about it). Hope you too!

I do enjoy an interesting talk about social sciences, modern education technologies, city planning, public spaces and infrastructure, biology and evolutionary biology... But, in fact, your travel stories are not less (and sometimes even more) interesting!
We also like: board games, video games, DIY, krav maga, postcrossing, dinosaurs, street art, cartoons, meeting new interesting people… let’s stick to “meeting new interesting people” :-)

It's incredibly hard to name all of the great books and movies that we like, but here are some that are important for us: all of the Pratchett's "Discworld" series, both Lewis Carroll's books about Alice, "Adventure time" (both cartoons and comics), Eco's "Fuco Pendulum", Shubin’s “Inner fish” and books by Richard Dawkins, all of Gerald Durrell’s animal stories, “Scott Pilgrim vs the World” movie, “Sherlock”, “Doctor Who”, “Love actually” (that last one — it’s me, of course, not Kirill ;-))) and many, many others.

我做过的一件不可思议的事情

I'll name three most amazing things that I've experienced so far: feeling how many lights, smells, forms... how many everything the ordinary night has when you come out from the cave after a day spent inside; seeing how high the whales are able to jump out of the Pacific ocean; listening how loud the sound of butterflies' wings can be when thousands of Monarchs are taking off all at once.

I can teach you some Russian language (I have a diploma for that, so let’s make some use of it) or how to make traditional Russian dolls. And Kirill sometimes teaches our guests how to code :-)
