My name is Valya. I'm Ukrainian (born and live 20 years in Kyiv), but now my family and I have just immigrated to San Jose, CA.
I've graduated from NTUU "KPI" in a speciality "Computer Science" in June, 2016. Also I'm studying part-time in NUESCU in a speciality "Sport coach". That's why I'm so active and hard-working.
I'm sociable, respectable, careful and friendly. Love discovering new places and meeting new people.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I'm here because I think that it's impossible to get full impession of city/country if you've never speak to people living there. It's really interesting to explore features of each nationality.

Experience on Couchsurfing: My parents, boyfriend and I have been hosted in August'15 in Stuttgart and in Strasburg.

Also my family and I have hosting experience: We hosted Nicole from Boston in August'15 and Jonathan from NY in October'15.

Interests

My hobby is rhytmic gymnastics. I had been doing it for 13 years and got a Masters of Sports. I love wathing RG competitions on TV. Now I'm coaching and bringing up 4-7 y.o. gymnasts :)
Also I'm interested in photography and design.
I've being actively taking part in Student Council of our faculty. I was a Deputy Head and Project Manager. I was controlling and helping to create all our projects.

Teach, Learn, Share

I can tell a lot about all interested places I've been, share my experience of travel planning and how to see a lot in short time. I am happy to help with Ukrainian or Russian studying, can be very patient as a teacher.

What I Can Share with Hosts

A lot of cultural things about Ukraine and Russia, cooking, and probably a lot of other things. :)
Ideally would love to have people stay over a weekend. During few days I can show the city sights and describe main features of Kyiv/Ukraine.
