About Me

CURRENT MISSION

To embrace life with all the vigor and self that can be felt is Divine, to appreciation is bliss.

ABOUT ME

As a native Angelino, I have experienced a tremendous amount of cultural diversity within my lifetime, from my upbringing in Virgil Village (just west of a now heavily gentrified Echo Park and Silver Lake) to my explorations of areas such as Watts, East Los Angeles, the San Fernando Valley and West Hollywood. I am a bicyclist and supporter of nature (both human and nonhuman). A traveler seeking a greater comprehension of my ecological impact on this planet. Je Suis a dreamer and conduit of peace and as a visual artist I have been welcomed into various communities all across the United States, from Lousiana and Arizona, to my current location in Arcata- the place where I am currently studying. In fact, this Fall I will be completing my Bachelorette degree in English Literature at Humboldt State University.

To date I have been academically published, have served as an elected official (Silver Lake Neighborhood Council) and have been a lifelong youth mentor. For well over a decade I have had the privilege of serving a multiethnic and economically diverse community; as a camp counselor, after school program instructor, class coordinator and active volunteer. Currently I am focusing on the intersections of community development and ecological awareness, specifically within literature, film and various other print and electronic media.

I am a student of life, basking in the warmth of good times and happy ventures. My wanderlust has taken me across the states and over the ocean but there are still so many more places to see and people to visit. The way to my heart is definitely through my stomach and compassion is the spoon I feed myself by. We, each of us, are sentient beings enjoying this space we call Earth, Gaia, Home. My intention is to co-inhabit this space with the integrity it deserves.
