About Me

CURRENT MISSION

My current mission is to travel as much as I can, meet interesting people and learn something from them and about their cultures. I want to be part of all the countries I will visit and I want to see them not as a tourist but as a true traveler. I want to change something in the world, make it a better place and I know this is possible if we try really hard. I want to change myself through the people I meet and grow with them and leave behind a rich experience that others can learn from.

ABOUT ME

I love travelling and meeting new and interesting people, having long, exciting conversations and sharing passions. I would love to learn more languages and I am really attracted to Scandinavian languages and Asian ones. I am not going to bother you if you host me, in fact I would like to have a good and open relantionship with my possible hosts. I love animals, kids and I like cooking , so I could help with the food ^_^ I also love nature and spontaneous things, I am very easily adaptable and I am usually a calm and relaxed person. I enjoy reading , drawing, listening to beatiful, jazzy songs in complete silence while daydreaming, debating challanging ideas and just relaxing.

However, life is an adventure so I will not stand back from anything spontaneous, interesting and new, especially if that means learning something about my surroundings, other people or myself. I like any activity that is nature - related, I am not a very sportsy person but I enjoy swimming and I am always up to any kind of cultural activity :3

PHILOSOPHY

I believe that there are no borders, altough society pushed us into believing that our power is limited and we can't do much to stand out and get to know the world. I think that if you wish for something from all your heart, the Universe will help you. My purpose in life is to learn, to seek new experiences and make them valuable, to teach other people what I can and let them teach me more about myself. I want to help the people I meet and make a difference, leave something behind me. I think that every dialogue is an information exchange and that we can learn something from every person we meet, and this is exactly what I am trying to do.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Because I think it is the best way to meet people while you are travelling and to bond with the places you visit.

Interests

I get bored quite easily so I always try something new, be it learning about a country I've never visited before, learning a new skill or creating something new. I am interested in dozens of things and I believe that while we live, we keep learning. My main interests are travel, exploration, art and the humanitarian side of things such as what we can do to help the environment, people who need our help and animals.

Music, Movies, and Books

Music:
I have a very wide range of music genres that I enjoy and some are very very different:
* Miles Davis, anything jazz or blues altough I enjoy some good ol' swing music too
* Heavier bands such as Naxatras, Rome, My sleeping Karma, Tool, Dream Theater, Nightwish, Within Temptation, HIM, Anttimatter, etc.
* Bands or musicians that make me day dream and I think they are very suited for travelling, such as Future Islands, Eddie Vedder, LP, Hearthless Bastards, The Black Keys, I like some things from Bon Jovi, Playing for Change, etc
* Classic, magnificent rock bands. In my top 3 favourite bands ever there is Queen, Pink Floyd and The Doors but I also enjoy some others such as AC/DC, Metallica, David Bowie (he had his rock period), Nirvana, Joan Jett, Suzi Q, Elvis Presley, etc.
* Scandinavian and german bands such as Faun, Valravn, Wardruna, Garmarna, etc.
* The last things I would like to mention here is classical music which I adore, my favourites being Bach, Franz Listz and Chopin, Romanian folk music and traditional music from lots of countries.

Movies:
* Some of the best movies I have ever seen were The hunt, A Royal Affair, Submarino (I REALLY recommend Thomas Vinterberg's movies), animations from Hayao Miyazaki, my favourites were Nausicaa on the Valley of the wind, Princess Mononoke and Howl's Moving Castle; I love most of Tim Burton's movies, new or old, fantasy movies, my favourites being of course the LOTR trilogy, I enjoy a good Sci-fi, I love Tomm Moore's animations (such as Song of the Sea and Secret of Kells) and I have found The Prophet, Into the Wild, Tracks and Baraka very inspirational.

TV Shows:

*Doctor Who, Vikings, Stargate SG-1, F.R.I.E.N.D.S., Sense8, Family Guy, Hannibal, Orphan Black, Sherlock, Farscape, Game of Thrones, DaVinci's Demons, Lie to me , Torchwood, Victoria

Books:
I mostly enjoy adventure, travel or fantasy books but I look a good Victorian novel from time to time. My favourite writers are Haruki Murakami, Oscar Wilde and J.R.R. Tolkien but I also like Dostoievsky, Puskin, the Bronte sisters (yes, all of them).
I was very impressed and inspired by Malala's book and I highly recommand Robyn Davidson's book "Tracks". In my top five there is also "Rocannon's world" and "Cat's craddle", "Lolita", "Brida" and lots of legends and things about mythology because I adore mythology.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

One is not enough so I will mention the three which left a great impact on me:

* Went alone on a 3 week trip to Germany
* I have travelled in the mountains and met a woman who lived there for 35 years without ever going back
* I have visited an underground church in Naples and saw the pictures of young, beautiful, smiling people with their skulls and bones by their side and that made truly think about what life and death truly means
* Anything Erasmus

Teach, Learn, Share

I want to learn anything you can teach me, and I can tell you things about different types of fabrics, how to recognize them so that you won`t be fooled when buying something and they tell you it`s natural fabric but in fact it isn`t. I can show you how to draw some things ,I can try teaching you Romanian, I can cook vegetarian recipies and I could teach you too! I can also teach you how to paint a fabric, how to sew and do a piece of embroidery and I can give you a piece of advice over a paperwork because I have experience in written essays and my main field of work is photography so I'd be more than glad to share some tips and tricks with you.

What I Can Share with Hosts

As a guest, I can participate in cleaning the place and cooking and as a friend, I can teach you everything I know if you are willing to listen :)

Countries I’ve Visited

Austria, Bulgaria, France, Germany, Greece, Italy, Moldova, Poland, Spain, Tunisia
