Overview
About Me
Industrial Engineer from Germany in my mid thirties. I have been living abroad for more than a decade in many places (Japan, China, Taiwan, the US and the UK). I have been living in London since more than 8 years. I am working as consultant for IT and advisory projects for a global financial services company.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
My girlfriend and I travel regularly. We have explored dozens of countries in the last 10 years - including for example criss-crossing a few months through South America last year.
We would like to connect to people to exchange experiences and smiles.
Everybody has a story to tell and/or is interesting in some way as long one invests the time and energy to be open, to listen and to share.
Interests
Doina (my girlfriend) and I have had a couchsurfing profile for over 10 years but we have actually never used it much. For one reason or another we ended up connecting to locals either via other websites or directly on the ground outside the virtual world. As a consequence we have at this point (Oct 2016) non/few references on couchsurfing. Nevertheless we decided to make more use of couchsurfing and thus here we are. We got to start somewhere. If it is of any help, below are the three sample references we received on other websites:
"Anytime, anywhere. Host them, pamper them and miss them. Would host them again with no hesitation" Antonio, Bogota
"Doina and Thomas were great guests, it was a pleasure having them at home! Our dog Lola got very acquainted with them :)" Camilo, Quito
"Doina and Thomas were great guests in our house. They are a lovely couple. Sara and I enjoyed very much talking with them and sharing good times like going to the movies. We recommend them as guests 110%. Thumbs up !!" Ignacio & Sara, Buenos Aires
