Overview
About Me
I'm Vandhana and I'm 22 years old. I'm currently studying master's in neuropsychology from Maastricht University. It's my first time staying abroad and I love it in the Netherlands. I'm easy-going, tolerant and accepting.
I love to travel. I love the feeling of walking through new streets in a new place. There's no matching to the feeling of utter awe I feel when I see different architecture and culture.
I'm more excited about meeting new people and getting to know them. Good food and conversation are enough to make my day any day.
I'm not hosting yet because my landlord is not very comfortable with it. I'm hoping to correct it soonly.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I'm very new to travel and just recently started acting on my curiosity regarding travel and people. Couchsurfing seems like a great platform to meet new people and get a glimpse of different cultures.
Interests
My greatest interest of all time is reading. If not for books, I'd be lost and miserable. Moreover, I'd have never discovered Harry Potter. I love fiction.
I enjoy good music as well, however, I do know a lot of good music. I'm open to all sorts of suggestions! I prefer classical music more than Indie rock though. It is my life goal to one day learn to play the cello.
I absolutely love food. I love to try and cook different cuisines! If I had to choose one item in the food category, I'd choose New York Cheesecake. I also bake regularly. It's like a stress buster for me.
I love to read poetry. Unfortunately, I don't seek it but, I treasure the ones I love from my English literature class in school. I sketch as well. I'm decent at it however, I don't draw as often as I like. I write for myself. My other interests include dancing and swimming.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I went one early morning to the beach near the place we were holidaying in so that no one had visited yet to see the beautiful artworks the sand bubbler crabs left on the sand.
Teach, Learn, Share
I don't think I can teach anything, however, I can share some of my life experiences and hope that it's helpful.
I learn a lot from the people I interact with, even if I've spoken to then for 5 minutes. I find inspiration in almost everyone.
