Overview
About Me
I like to laugh and have fun and I appreciate a good sense of humor, one that relies on wit rather than being petty or mean. I think I'm pretty easy going and in general am an optimist. I find it difficult to relate to people who are negative.
I'm perfectly happy to spend time on my own, but also love to be part of a group. I suppose most people would describe me as quiet and shy at first, but once I get to know someone a bit I tend to be more outgoing.
At the end of my life I want to be able to say that I've seen it all.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I want to see new places and meet new people.
Interests
My goal is to travel the world, seeing as many places as I can and meeting lots of interesting people along the way.
I love theatre and singing.
I've been in a community choir for the last three years and I also sang in a very large choir (150+ members) while I was at university.
I like to watch most movies, with the general exception of horror or slasher flicks.
Books are great. I love books. I have so many books that I've run out of shelf space and have resorted to storing them in boxes on the floor. One day I hope to actually finish reading them all...

Music, Movies, and Books
Stereophonics are my favourite band.
I also really like Lights, Ellie Goulding, City and Colour, Jack Johnson, and Florence + the Machine.
I like Marvel movies. So much so, that I went to an MCU Marathon and sat through 27 hours worth.
The fast and furious franchise is a guilty pleasure and I also like the Hunger Games, Harry Potter and pretty much every cheesy musical ever made.
My favourite book of all time is The Phantom Tollbooth by Norton Juster (yes, it's a kids book and no, I don't care). A very close second is The Time Traveler's Wife by Audrey Niffenegger. I like to read fantasy, sci-fi, historical fiction, and romance, but I also enjoy a good biography or memoir.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I went to the Philippines on a school trip and helped build a student dormitory for a high school near Baguio in the province of Benguet.
Paragliding and white water rafting in Austria was pretty amazing.
Teach, Learn, Share
I don't know what I could teach, but I feel like everyone has something to offer.
I like to learn and try new things, so it's gratifying to meet like minded people.
I'm always happy to share my cooking skills and a bottle of wine.
What I Can Share with Hosts
I know my way around the kitchen and am happy to cook a meal. I find a good way to get to know people is to share a meal and some interesting conversation.
